That would mean only four drivers would be out in Q1, how exciting.

20 cars, 5 would be out

I'm a creative person by nature and math isn't my strong suit, but sixteen plus four I can handle. :hehe:

Dumb question, but why does Q3 have to be 10 cars? Why not distribute the cars evenly, and give the Q3 guys more room to do their final hot laps? Say 6 out in Q1, 6 more in Q2, then 8 left for Q3.

Sporting regulation 31.1 says how many cars drop out each session.

Yeah, i was just wondering what logic was used to come to those regs. Seems to me like it would be better to eliminate more cars in Q1 and Q2 to make more room on the track for Q3.
