Mercedes had asked Brawn to stay on but he made it clear last month that he would only do so if he remained in sole charge of the team.

Not that good. As long as Paddy doesnt turn the team into McLaren. Pat Fry doesnt seem to have exactly turned Ferrari around either.
I hope he doesnt head for Ferrari. Hopefully he will take a long holiday and then come back to replace Whitmarshs brigade at Honda McLaren in a couple of years and bring Lewis back after his WDCS at Merc.

I dont think he will retire. Reading between the lines of past interviews with him, I think he still has a lot of hunger for the sport. Loves a challenge, and there would be teams lining up to snap him up.

I'd guess Williams as the most logical place for him to go with Ferrari as an outside chance

Everyone's rooting for the Williams move but that would depend on Claire's role. Ross like does starting from scratch.

He has the money to own a team. I dont see how he would want to be a TP again. He has spoken about wanting to take a step back from trackside. And he has the cash, Williams as a public company would be hard for him to take complete control. However he could buy into McLaren and effectively replace Ron who has his hands full with the automotive. The Bharainis would not take much persuading if Ross turned up and put some hard cash in, I reckon they would have his arm off and put him in as chairman

Lewis said on Sky Sports that Merc will still target both titles in 2014 without Brawn.
