Hadn't seen it posted here yet. The audio isn't great, but it seems they had some fun after they took the limiter off.

I don't rate the V8 sound as great, but I will always associate it with a very competitive era of racing (and ultimately, RBR dominance) that has seen some of the best talent go up against one another, both in terms of drivers and team personnel. Sure, they don't have the epic sound of the V10s that came before them, but they certainly made their mark on the sport. Hopefully the new V6s, as much as their introduction disappoints me, will be awesome in their own way.

True the Renault V-8's were not the sweetest sounding engines in history, but they were winners. To each his own I guess. For me the best racing sound ever was the OW31 linked below. Hope I did that right.
