it was fully expected that the German teams in particular would take great offense to moseley's actions. He is denying the Nazi element of the story however and if that cannot be proved i think max may once again dodge the bullet

When the major corporate sponsors, Toyota and Renault fall into line with BMW & Mercedes, Max will be forced to resign. The Crown Prince of Bahrain has barred Max attending race. Max's perversion has brought shame upon himself, and negative press to F1. Even Ferrari may give up on him.

Good for BMW / M.B. it needs pressure from teams/ sponsors. I hope that Toyota and others do join in. Must be difficult for Ron Denis now though, but he could join in when others have. He just cant lead the them.
BBC this morning reported that " Max Moseley remains defiant and refuses to resign his position" sounds like another corrupt dictator I know of - Mugabe! Perhaps they could live in exile together.!!

I'd agree that this is the right decision by the manufacturers... well now... where's Ferrari?

Good point where IS Ferrari? As the mainstay of the FIA they could be in a difficult postion. As Italians there are issues, As Ferrari there are issues and as the FIA they have issues - all conflicting - I wonder which way they will go. I suspect that it will be a typical slide away qyietly and say as little as possible - lets see, its about the calibre of Ferrari.
Now - where's Williams & Red Bull - I'd like them to contribute.

The Italians will do exactly what they always do: sit on the fence and side with whom they think is going to win. Remember Mussolini's neutral for the best part of a year after the Nazis invaded Poland. Basically, Ferrari are looking after their own backs: The FIA are their sugar daddies, so they are reluctant to bite the hand feeding them.

With the largest automotive companies in the world speaking out against Mosley, the pressure is seriously mounting on him. I'm even more disgusted the more I think about it. Mosley had the cheek to criticise for McLaren and Ron Dennis for supposedly denying the "truth" in the spy scandal, and here he is trying to tell us he was not having a Nazi-themed orgy! He would try and tell us a black sheep was white.

However, even if they do sit on the fence, you know it's pretty serious when a crown prince denies you entry into the country. I guess he still needs the killer blow though...been very disappointed with Bernie's comments in all honesty.

I dont think that any drivers have commented yet have they? I think it unlikely that they will. Team principals all should though.

Moseleys response

Here is an ITV article on Moseleys response. Look at the last para. Its mind boggling that Moseley could say this, hes trying to blame the Germans now for the 'overeaction because of thier own behavior in the war - utterly unbelievable.

FIA president Max Mosley has responded to BMW and Mercedes-Benz following their joint statement indicting his behaviour on Thursday morning.


The German car manufacturers labelled the allegations about Mosley’s sexual conduct published in the News of the World as “disgraceful” and demanded a response from the FIA.


Mosley said he understood their revulsion at the claim that he took part in Nazi role-playing – but insisted that the allegation is untrue and that they had misrepresented his behaviour.


“Given the history of BMW and Mercedes-Benz, particularly before and during the Second World War, I fully understand why they would wish to strongly distance themselves from what they rightly describe as the disgraceful content of these publications,” Mosley told Reuters.

It's disgusting how Mosley continues to act. His arrogance knows no boundaries. People in his position should have resigned, or, saying as he won't do that, be begging for mercy and apologising. Instead, he's continuing to stoke up people's prejudices and hatred. Power really has completely corrupted this man. He clearly believes he's above everybody else and can do as he pleases.
