I could really relate to Mark taking his helmet off to soak up the atmosphere. I bet he wasn't supposed to do that, I bet he thought of it before and thought the stewards might take a dim view of it, but he thought "sod them, this is my moment". I have had times in life when I have done similar things and I've decided to not give a toss what people think anymore after years of worrying about it. He knew the stewards couldn't do sod all, he knew it was his "last day at school" so to speak. Fair play to the man, he was the ultimate "firm but fair" tough Aussie bloke. The scene with him in the cockpit, driving around without his helmet will be one to remember for years to come. And I take inspiration from his act. Fairwell, Mark, and good show

Glad to see other people felt the same as me...sometimes I find certain scenes really emotive and most people are like "wtf, why do you feel so strongly about that" but not this time it seems. It is the end of an era, Mark has definitely gone out at the right time and on a high. I can just imagine how he felt during those few minutes, we should all strive to have times in life where we are completely living in the moment

lol idk. Maybe ricciardo! Idk. I just naturally gravitated towards Webber. I'm waiting for the next driver to do that. I support maldonado a lot, so I'm hoping he gets the lotus drive and racks up a few wins next year. I would love that, maybe because that would piss so many people off!!
