No, Bottas was DRS-ing his way to unlap himself.

Anyone like numbers? Vettel's 1st pitstop standstill time was almost exactly half of Webber's time....and in the WDC he's scored pretty much double of Webber's tally.

Puts the season a bit into perspective and why Webber won't be shedding too many tears walking away eh?

Btw drive of the day for me, Sergio freakin Perez....19th to 6th, top job man top job. Hope to see you on the grid next year and beating McLaren's pants off.

More interesting than recent races. Don't agree with the penalty to Hamilton, he left more room than necessary. Should he have parked and let the car by??? Massa's penalty was justified according to the rules, but I am a little surprised he was hit with it. Maybe he had been warned. Malodour.ohno demonstrates once again why I will be glad to see him out of F1. Where has this Perez been all year??? :yikes:
No Hamilton didn't have to park... He turned into Bottas. Who gives a fluff if he left space. Of course he did - that's why Bottas was there in the first place. Brundle even said it was a penalty. Are you guys any wiser than Brundle and Blundell on this?

You do know that there are things called racing incidents right? What you're saying it that Hamilton caused the accident deliberately in order to keep the position therefore he should have been penalized.

I am having one almighty arguement with some guy on twitter about the Lewis penalty. Somehow I seem to be following this guy as well? :yikes::confused: well I guess a good arguement is good for you.

Don't waste your time arguing, enjoy the successful year at Mercedes and look forward to 2014.

Agree to disagree and let it go! And, be thankful we don't all agree all of the time or we'd be in danger of becoming boring!! :hehe:

Trust the useless stewarding to have the last say of the season

Lewis recovered from a blowout and drive through to gaurantee his team second in the WCC, beat his teammate, slaughtered his old team and best of all made a whole bunch of people look foolish in the process.

Lets remember this was the year of settling into a midgrid team and prepare for the main event - 2014

All in all a stellar effort from Lewis, Nico, Merc, Aldo, Bob, Toto, Niki and ofcourse all those of us who never doubted that creme always rises and never stopped 'balancing' the negativity thats always aimed at Lewis and his actions and team and dog and gf and earings etc

Well done all :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

Decent last race, Hamilton crowded Bottas, and I'm glad the season is over.

Crowded him? Bottas was the one overtaking! Except he forgot he forgot what lap he was on, forgot he had to get round the corner and forgot hamilton would likely take up his racing line.

Not too bad a race given the differential between the Red Bull's and the rest of the field.

Great to see Mark go out on a high and to be so well acknowledged even in Brazil. Seemed to me he was the most popular Red Bull person on the podium.

Great effort by Vettel and the Red Bull team to win every race after the summer break.

The touch between Lewis and Bottas was Lewis's fault under the current regs IMO, so he deserved the penalty. I would however say that had Bottas been quick enough to move over there probably wouldn't have been a penalty.

Loved Felipe's reaction to the news of his drive through penalty, who'd have guessed there was going to be hand gesticulating as he rolled down pit-lane :hehe:

I was watching the race with an Aussie mate who kept telling me that Seb would probably pull over and let Mark through to make up for Malaysia and as a gesture to Mark for his last race. I said I thought it would be more likely that if Mark was ever able to draw up level, Seb would take him out rather than let him win.

Loved the body language just before the podium presentation. Mark ignored Horner for quite a while then gave him this "oh, its you is it" look.

Congrats to Marussia staying ahead of Caterham. Largely on the performance of Bianchi in 2013. An excellent year from him. He has certainly advanced his claim on a Ferrari seat at the end of Kimi's contract.

Good races from both Perez and Button.

Button provided something positive for the McLaren fans to end the season on. It's hard to go through that sort of season. One thing a season like that does is sort chaff from the hay in terms of the fan base.
