In 2013 we had 4 rookie drivers. Bottas, Guiterrez, maximum Chilton and bianchi (was van di guarde a rookie too, I forget?). It's interesting to see who came above whom in the championship.

Obviously the lower team chaps are out of ever really scoring points but bianchi leads the lower teams, which is exactly what everyone expected because that frenchmans' got the skills to win races in a half decent car.

Into the points then. Bottas has 4 and Estiban has 6, what's clear is however that the Mexican has a far better car than the Finn, who's one point finish puts him a stone throw away from taking top rookie on the leaderboard.

Don't forget either that Guiterrez's team mate is in 11th place with 47 points, whereas Bottas's college (a race winner anda qualifying specialists), is on a single point and lower than his rookie teammate and has been our qualified by him.

So even though by the numbers Estiban wins, who is your top rookie this season?

(And no RC I don't mean the best looking one )

You really don't have to, I was interested to see people thought the top rookie was in their opinion, don't forget the Mexican is topping the rookie leader board statistically.

All you can really do is compare them to their team mates.

Bottas beating Maldonardo is impressive.

Chilton is not highly rated but he is closer to bianchi than you would expect.

I'm voting Bianchi, purely because I watched the two caterhams right on his @$$ for 56 laps in the US but to no avail
