FFS what a stupid girl. It's a bit like that "Bleed for Bieber" bullsh!t.

When pictures surfaced of Bieber smoking what the press said was cannabis, a load of his brainless fans tweeted pictures of them cutting themselves in protest. What nonsense.

This is me being paranoid:

There is no way to know it actually is a young girl! It could be anyone or anything, for that matter!!
It could be a sociopath or even a pedofile, who is portraying themselves as "young and disturbed"!!
Just one way the internet has been used and abused for "disturbing" reasons!!

(( note to self, stop watching Criminal Minds!! :nono: ))

A Cleveland Wal-Mart store is holding a food drive — for its own employees.
Image
"Please donate food items so associates in need can enjoy Thanksgiving dinner," reads a sign accompanied by several plastic bins.

When questioned about the seeming paradox - why not pay your employees enough so that they can feed themselves? - Walmart responded

A company spokesman defended the food drive, telling the Plain Dealer that it is evidence that employees care about each other.

It's true that Walmart cannot afford to give its employees enough to provide holiday meals for their families. After all

Wal-Mart turned a profit of $15.7 billion last year.

Walmart has had such dismal profits year after year that it has had to turn to the American people in the form of government subsidies like SNAP to feed its employees. Realizing how inadequate such subsidies have become especially in light of recent cutbacks it now sees the virtue and necessity of appealing to its customers and employees.

The wisdom of Walmart is great.

If you didn't pick up on it the quoted section is a bit tongue in cheeck. Don't know what the equivalent to WalMart is in the UK, but here WalMart specifically makes it a point to not hire full time employees. In America full time employees (anything higher than 35 hours a week) have the be provided benefits, time off, health care, unemployment insurance etc. So WalMart highers them part time in order to not provide them these "costly" benefits. It's far cheaper to hire 1.5 million employees part time than it is to hire 1 million employees full time.

The results of the Affordable Care Act. Meaning that employers having more than 50 employees would have to provide some type of healthcare to their employees that worked over 35 hours. The a loophole was created moving the bard for a part time employee down to 30 hours a week. The conventional thinking was that companies would of course no longer see benefits for not providing health care for employees working 35 hours, (given the fact that there are government subsidies to encourage businesses to do so)

So the WalMarts of the world, see this as an opportunity to cut employee hours down to 30 and continue not providing them health care coverage. Less hours, the minimum wage in the US is 8.25 an hour time 30 hours a week means that the average employee has to rely on government assistance to make ends meet because they're living below the poverty line.

Why would a corporation take away from their 15B dollars in profit by providing full time employment with a real living wage, when the Government will do it for them? Plus we can then blame the Obama administration for having created more people living under government dependence.
