Towards the end of the season no one wanted that, because you could simply match someone's picks guaranteeing they wouldn't be able to overtake you. The only one supporting that now is Frontrunner.

I don't know anything on the server side. MOA can chime in... all I get is an email from the server with the user and the picks, I suspect that's where the weak link it, the mail SMTP transport between the outgoing relay a the receiving mailbox. I Xed out your IP just cause I'm nice.

I'm wondering if we could have the script auto-magically populate a MySQL DB. Cheap and light. That way we don't have to alert you

You wouldn't need to, just record the name that's sent, the time, and the 10 picks. Currently as far as I know the names on the pool are not linked the the forum usernames, theoretically anyone could apply with any name; you could even submit with someone else's name. So perhaps we need to add some sort of sign up and password to stop that abuse (Unless they are actually linked to the forum usernames.)

Then you just do what you would normally do with the data at the end of the race to work out points etc.

It's worked fine, no need to complicate things. The only unreliable thing is the delivery system but if on doubt a PM to me works and it's reliable.

IP might not work as people are more than likely on dynamic addresses.
