I think as others have said. Williams could be the dark horse. I'd love them to do well and I'd be pleased for Massa. Maybe out of Alonso's shadow he might regain his confidence, and that breeds success.

What about Lotus. Convincing second gives them financial support. McLaren have helped Lotus, and Mercedes in that they are not their rivals.

Lotus have been good this year. But I kindov think they've been flattered by the way they've worked the tyres. They also seem somewhat in disarray. I can't really see them moving into the top two teams slot, but I could be very wrong.

I don't see Williams moving into the top two teams spot either , but there's more scope for relative gain from them

I have to study cookie's mathematical formula in more depth. I'm good with figures! :hehe: edit( forgot the not- not good with figures! )

For some reason, I think Ferrari MIGHT benefit this change. The big losers for me I have to say Lotus. I have a weird feeling that Ferrari might have a good chance for next year.

I wonder why you'd say that? :hehe:

There is a big chance that at least for the first half of the season it will be the teams with best power unit at the top. So we could see Merc, Williams, Force India and McLaren ahead by default, or RBR, lotus, tr or Ferrari Sauber and marussia :yikes:

So out of the top 3, we could see 2 fall behind the customers of 1

I think many are forgetting how important the engine used to be in the old pre freeze days. Losing a honda or Renault for the top teams was to stop being a top team overnight, ask McLaren and Williams

Agreed, we will see for the first few races at least one engine (POWER UNIT) dominating, but what one that will be is a mystery.

Oh no, it's not because of my Ferrari fandom. It's because I just have this weird feeling...Like Ferrari will be on top, battling Mercedes...

Actually that would be tremendous! Four top drivers, in two top teams and no orders. Possible?

And your WEIRD feeling completely rules out Red Bull. That is weird

I didn't have the weird feeling. I just thought it sounded exciting. It won't be exciting if Red bull are there with Seb for reasons stated previously.
But Alonso, Lewis, Nico and Kimi, if the cars are similar, that sounds juicy!!

If red bull didn't exist. This year would have been BRILLIANT!

Still would be . Both championships still up for grabs.

Well, if RBR werent around Alonso would have the WDC sewn up effectively now (Remember he has finished 2nd to Vettel in a lot of races this season) ;)
