Kimi f**ks up royally but leaves the circuit James Hunt style, I bet he's got another new truckload of fans for doing that.

He was off to the airport...Lotus can't afford to pay for an extra night's lodging which is why he was late getting to the track.

Lotus has everyone but the drivers and team principal sleeping on cots in the garage.

Autosport is reporting that Lotus has reached a settlement agreement with Kimi. :clap:

Shame, I was looking forward to some fireworks to round off the season. :(

:wink::wink:

Kimi Raikonen's seat fitting has shown he is more or less the same size and weight of Alonso, so next year there won't be any "caus' he is taller" argunments

Im sure his water bottle will be a lot bigger though and he might even need a second one for the mixers

So kimi is out for the rest of the season. Goodbye to any chance Lotus had at second place

Seems that way. Now we can spend the next few days speculating about interesting replacements, before they go ahead and confirm Valsecchi anyways. :hehe:

Great, Kimi got what he wanted.

Nice bit of shuffling around to spice up the last dregs of the season. :)

Webber to replace him at lotus. Riccardo gets more time to integrate at Redbull

Actually saying that, hasn't the hulk been released from his contract cos he hasn't been paid so it's very reasonable that he could replace kimi.

I think that would be a good move for the hulk... assuming he gets the most out of the car

Just posted, basically, the same thing in the USGP thread:

Kimi's recovery period is going to be about 4 weeks, which gives him time before the winter testing season begins!
Also, considering how it's all gone downhill this last couple of weeks for him and Lotus, this is probably best for
everyone concerned. No point pretending that all is well that ends well!!
