Absolutely spot on MF
Ecclestone's comments defy all belief. How can he say motorsport has not been brought into disrepute? How can he say it does not affect his role as the President of the the FIA? It damn well does. Mosley has just rolled out anti-racism campaign for the sport encouraging fans to behave properly. Why should we listen to him when Mosley is having anti-semitic orgies? How can brand the Spanish people wrong with his opinions and low values? How can he talk about moral issues in the sport, such as McLaren and Ron Dennis' moral rectitude?
Mosley and Ecclestone have been keen to tell us all sport and politics go hand-in-hand. Well, the floor of Mosley's legitimacy and credibility has fallen through into the abyss. Nobody can trust him. Nobody can take him seriously. And nobody can do as a charlatan and a hypocrite says. If he has even a shred of self-respect he would do the decent thing: his last act as FIA President should be his formal resignation, right now.
