FM will win in Bahrain like last year when he had a rather crappy start to the season as well and then won two races in a row to be back in contention.
C'mon my sweet little bum, show 'em!:twisted::mrgreen:

Is there some reason they want a fresh engine in the next race, and that engine instead of this one for the next one?

I don't think the idea is to put Massa out of contention, the way I see it is that any other driver that is using their engine from the last race has already done a full race with that engine, whereas Massa hasn't (only half a race) and any driver using a new engine this race will then have to use the same engine (possibly affected by Bahrains dust) for the next race when Massa'll have a new one. IMO it puts Massa in quite a good situation for the next two races if he can keep it on the track.

They also stated that their priority is to develop in the reliability area - thus, it makes sense to leave the engine in to gather more data.

With Massa's record he has done enourmous amounts to improve engine reliabilty. Just spin off after a few laps and the engine will be good for 5 or 6 races!! 8):D

A cynic may suggest that Ferrari are looking to get Massa out of title race as early as possible so the team can have a de facto one-two operation.

Yes Massa is Kimi's rear gunner

Here's something along the lines of what DeMuRe would say: everybody knows it - it's that obvious on his face.
