I just hope the rule changes bring better races and not economy drives. But thats a different story.

Vettel - he'll beat Schumacher's records with eight, nine or ten etc.
Hamilton - not mentally tough enough or consistent enough in his approach. One bad day and his performance suffers. Needs to cheer up, stop whinging and get on with it.
Alonso - already deserves more. Will probably win a third, but I doubt any more.
Raikkonen - definitely has what it takes, like the top 4 all do. Consistent, fast etc.

Not even going to mention Kubica really because the chances of him returning with his injures how they are...well, it's slim. :)

How is your performance meant to suffer if its not a bad day? i.e. a bad day is when something goes bad, like your brakes or car or gearing or luck.
When you whing means you complain about reasons for bad performance. Do you have a link to this whinging?

Vettel will beat MS records providing the same situation we had for the last 4 years continues. Lets see if Seb, like MS can win WDCs in different situations before we start forgetting that MS had many years not winning because he didnt have the car

Kinda just occured to me we have quite a match of the modern day Schumacher, Hunt, Prost and Senna...

That being Vettel (his records, invincibility at the front with a questionable car), Kimi (tries hard to be a Hunt and most people believe he is one), Alonso (the thinker and manipulator of situations to favor him at any point...as we saw in Abu Dhabi), Hamilton (famed for overtaking and going for the gap everytime).

Not bad.

I think you guys should cheer up. Vettel could only be a four time world champion. I think Hamilton or even Rosberg might win one.
#379326
Vettel will continue winning WDC as long as his car is a dream machine. Otherwise he won't. The other drivers have been honing their racing skills all these years behind him.
#379327
So again, F1 convorsation has ended with... we have to see next year.

My fav comment was "Kimi doesn't really have what it takes to win a championship, he'll probably leave at the end of this year" - 2008.

In the current crop of young drivers, who do you guys think will win a WDC, I reckon given half a chance Bottas would be able to get right up there.

Hulkenburg

He's fast and consistent, but I think he's a bit too conservative for a WDC. Would love to be proven wrong though.

Give me the senna / Lewis style any time!! :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

Schumacher and Vettel can take all the stats they want, they won't float my boat like Lewis or Senna.

Did some guy say Lewis whinges???:rofl: WRONG! Lewis gets pissed when he doesn't perform to his very high standards! not the same as whinging!
#379439
But the thing with stats is they are written into history. If Hamilton, Alonso, Vettel all finished racing at the end of this season. In 20 years time when asked who is the greatest driver of the 2010's the 4 time world champion will be talked about.

Yeah don't care what people think in twenty years time. I care who does the biz for me right now. Who sets me tingling, and it ain't Vettel with all his four championships.

That said, Giles Vileneuve is a great- 0 championships. Moss is a great- 0 championships. And there are drivers with championships who are not great. Whatever floats your boat. Talent and excitement or clinical game playing and statistics. You make your choice.
