Apparently Kimi's car has failed the floor detection test. Could result in an exclusion from qualifying. :/

All they did is borrow one of Dead Bull's used floors

[ptiberio]

Nice one, Mark.

Until the start when Pit Wall disables a few cylinders so that Vettel can lead

[operaman]

It was only massa. All four wheels off the track on the last corner.

I'm sure I saw Rosberg, Webber, Alonso and Hamilton do it there and many on that corner mid-lap that approaches a wall. I'll check though.

Kimi's car failed the test??? What about Grosjean's???

Better still, what about Vettel's???

Grosjean (I think) was using the long wheelbase design, so it might be different. As for Vettel ... silly Cannuck, Seb's car has an illegal wing and traction control (permitted under FIA favouritism rules), the floor is fine.

So obviously what Lotus will do is pull Kimi out of parc ferme, revamp his car Vettel Abu Dhabi 2012 style and watch him shoot up the field. I think Kimi has a serious shot at some good points tomorrow, especially with a car that takes care of tyres. Can't count him out.

Assuming he doesn't go home first.

Not home .... to that Ferrari World amusement park.

Only just watched quali on BBC cos been driving to Wales. A few interesting things, Lewis unlucky agen third race in a row misfortune has befallen him; but on the upside, Merc in a good position to consolidate second place in constructors.
Perez way better than button in q2 and Buttons response made me laugh...........I don't know how we can be so much slower than in practise, there was no grip
And Alonso bettered by Massa again.

Yeah Lewis unlucky, funny how Ant Davidson was quick to point out LHs 'mistake' despite the fact he had taken the corner before his supposed snap of oversteer

Yup Button back to his usual, 'I can't understand why we were slower in q2' because everyone goes faster for Q3 Jense
I reckon the team are letting Sergio do his own thing instead of 'optimising' both cars round Button
If it wasn't for Sergio the team would be on another wild goose chase to find out why the car is so slow

Coulthard did exactly the same on BBC , fractionally before the radio message was coming from Lewis saying something had broken. I'm screaming LISTEN , JUST LISTEN! For christsake! Then it's the sheepishness retraction
Sergio is rockin , hope they don't screw him in the race.

that apostrophe is in the wrong place. and i dont get it, what went on his car.

you can say either, and it's commonly accepted to simply put an apostrophe at the end of a name that already ends in an s, plus it's visually more pleasing and more efficient.

WB is correct.

An apostrophe comes after like that if it is a plural's thing. So... Pencil's tip for a pencil and..... Pencils' tips for two pencils.

[RyRy]

According to sky the only two in the top ten who didn't run wide were Hamilton and Hulkenburg

English language is renown for its exceptions. Many sheep aint many sheeps for example, pencil ends in l, if it ended in s, it would be an exception to the rule.

Very funny. But I'm correct. An apostrophe comes after when the word after is the object of te plural

One week's notice = notice of one week.
Two weeks' notice = notice of two weeks.

I said it is acceptable both way, and your examples although correct, are not relevant here. Because the factors are that one, there can be no Lewis Hamilton plural since it's a singular person, I'm not referring to multiple people named Lewis, and his name ends with an s. Both of which are the reason it's perfectly acceptable in the English language to write it as Lewis'. In this case making used to describe who the car, the lap, the spin out, belonged to.

Watched qualifying last night and hope Alonso is looking at the positives.

Last time he qualified 11th he won the race (Valencia 2012)
