It would be interesting to know if this is just a one-off or whether it's going to be like this for the rest of the season. In any case, organising what a Formula One team does and does not take to the race is a big task nowadays. McLaren had probably packed their equipment and had it ready for being sent to Bahrain. This will no doubt have a big impact on the team's Grand Prix preparations. I'm sure I and others could be forgiven for smelling a rat...

Err, you can accelerate away quicker I guess. But it's far more favourable to be near the pit entry

in Australia the biggest pits are near the pit exit so you had Ferrari closest to the exit of the pits and so on down the order. Not sure what it was in Sepang anyone notice?
but maybe they only let McLaren have 5th in Australia so they wouldnt have the first pit on entry so some teams/men in power didnt have an issue now that its back to normal pit arrangement the wanks have enforced this and gone back on their word.

and some of you guys wonder why there are conspiracy theories in F1 when s*** like this goes on. As a fan of McLaren it truelly does feel like the powers at be are truelly against your team. which isnt right!!!

McLarens been made a scapegoat in order for Ferrari's gain otherwise Toyota would have been dealt with in the same manner by Ferrari ( run to daddy Max and dirty media smear campaign) and the FIA ( suck ferrari chicken in order to make $$$$) FACT

and you talk of disrepute i think the FIA did a good job themselves of bringing the sport into that politcal "tag"

Stop getting your knickers in a twist about this whole thing. Move on bud and be a happy camper that you can still watch your beloved McLaren cars compete for the world championship. Remember, it could have ended way worse and they could have been thrown out of the championship for a year or two. But since the FIA is so corrupt, they gave McLaren a special treatment they wouldn't grant anybody else (except maybe Ferrari) instead of making an example. So bud, relax:

If you extrapolate, McLaren would be banned for a decade or somtin' considering that their infraction was so much more serious. But thanks to McLaren being a big team and the FIA playing to BE's $$ tune, you can still watch them cars driving around the race tracks. Hmm illegal fuel cell compared to a 700+ page dossier, seem's pretty cut and dry but I do have issue's with Renault not getting fined for possesing another team's intellectual property.
