VETTEL WINS IN ABU DHABI ONCE MORE...

(Cough)

Now the championship is cemented, the most interesting battle of the season still needs deciding. Obviously this looks to go down to the wire at Brazil, but who out of Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso or Nico Rosberg will have the upper hand in this battle?? Will we see drama in Abu Dhabi?? And will Mark Webber cost me more points in the F1 Pool?

Here in Canada viewership is now so low the practices and races are now run in the middle of the night. They used to time delay so we could watch around our breakfast time. We now get reruns of the previous days sporting events and maybe they give a 5 second F1 update. Not a lot of ppl here are very interested in a race for 2nd, 3rd ... Actually I couldn't find the Friday practice and Saturday qualifying rounds televised this week. My hat's off to Red Bull and Vettel for another great season but hopefully next year the season there is a battle for 1st until the last race. I've been an avid F1 follower since the '60s when my father who raced other series in N Am would take me to Mosport and Watkins Glen. Today I was ready to go for the 5.30 am broadcast, both my wife and I fell asleep within the first few laps only to wake up sporatically. I do appreciate that there is some great racing within the pack for best of the rest but we won't bother to set our alarm to get up so early for the remainder of this season and obviously our sports networks realize that there just is not enough viewership even at 8 - 9.30 am on Saturdays or Sundays to displace reruns of other sporting events.
I know that this is my first post on this forum, I have lurked for quite awhile. We enjoy going to Montreal each year and yes bring our rain gear. We were going to go to the US race with friends but they all bailed and we will likely as well. We look forward to next season and hope that it is competitive to the last km.

We've seen it before, many times, and no doubt we'll see it in the future. But yes, we are due a close season with some different teams in the spotlight.

^^ lurking for quite a while and coming on to post that says more about your feelings than what you actually wrote. Welcome to the forum, things will get better, I promise. I've been to Montreal twice now and have to say Canadian fans are great hosts, so keep it up!

Sorry all, just frustrated. I remember well the Schu years when much the same sentiment was loudly expressed. I was involved with Cdn racing for a number of years during the 80's and actively advocated for federal funding to support JV in securing his ride in the 90's.
This is a great forum, always interesting reading different viewpoints. Whats Burning, are you getting delayed coverage or is it just us Canuckleheads that have been given up on by our network? and yes my wife and some of our F1 friends have called and emailed.
Back on topic, have always loved watching the Abu Dhabi GP with 3 races left I do think that Ferrari, will come 2nd in the Constructors' followed by Merc and Lotus. As far as race results hopefully RB gets Webber's problems ironed out and he can go out with at least one more win.
Cheers all and maybe we can meet in Montreal next season.

Hi, there!! And, welcome aboard! I live in Toronto the Good and have watched EVERY race live, this season!!
Saturdays are no good for me, so Qualifying isn't usually on the books; but, I do know that TSN carries it!
Yes, they rerun the races; but, to be honest, I'd never be able to watch a "rerun" or even PVR a race, once
I know who has won... it's just not the same thing!!

I noticed you're "up" in Orangevile, don't you get TSN?

I'm with you on this S. I watch live most of the time (races for sure), and PVR what I miss. My issue with TSN has more to do with the side by side :bs: and the lack of any pre/post-race coverage, which I have to watch en francais. I do find it odd that TSN picks up the BBC feed for the race and Q, but the Sky feed for P2. :director::yikes:

It's probably about the money!! Image

Oh right, now Im with you - you are talking in particular about Webber. I thought you were talking just in general.

Well, yeah, I think (hope) the team will give him a chance to win in the last couple. Brazil would be a good place for him to win. Last race of his F1 career.
