I don't know if it was the race or me just recovering from a Halloween hangover, but this race was just exhausting to watch. All that dust and bore after the first 3 laps and before the last 3 laps just got me tired watching it.

Congrats to Vettel, I liked the donuts...been a long time since I've seen one of those in F1.

I thought it was my contacts; but, at 5:30 a.m. I wasn't even wearing them!! :loopy:

Agree regarding the donuts!! So verrry cool how his car disappeared in the "smoke"!!

Oh shut up Vettel!

I was almost warming to him, after the doughnuts, the glove throw, and bowing to his car ... then he had to open his mouth. What a sad excuse for a WDC, no class at all. Congrats to him on a good drive though. :ahahah:

Although I am not a Vettel fan I will admit that his donuts, climbing the fence, throwing his gloves and running back to the garage basically thumbing his nose to Bernie's rules I have to award him :thumbup::thumbup:

He has every reason to celebrate as he thrashed the compeition even so he is still Horner's :cloud9: thumb buddy :whip:

Now since Vettel broke major sporting regulations will the stewards disallow him from the race? He did break major sporting regulations and should be disallowed for the race and the remainder of the season. McLaren was for stealing a few sketches....

He got a warning and a fine. :nono:

So i started watching the race (via the delayed thing you can do on the BBC site), then sacked it off after literally a handful of laps to watch the MotoGP.

Seems like the only interesting thing i missed was Raikkonen shouting back at his team which someone posted on facebook anyway.

I think they should just cancel the rest of this joke of a season now that the titles are decided. It's not like almost all of the fans care any more.

Don't you think that's a bit much? What exactly did he say that you're so angry about? From what I gathered from his post-race interviews, he was humbled, emotional and grateful. Maybe we're on about two different blokes...

Yes I also heard him being humbled, emotional and grateful.

But he still had to slip this in 'I am glad now I have joined Fangio/Prost finally people will have to accept something'

He has done his job, he has suppressed the finger, he realises that there is a qualitative aspect to greatness, and has stopped with the 'yeees, what a hard fought win' yet the line now seems to be 'my success is down to my hard work, so I work harder than Alonso or Lewis would have done in this car and therefore I am somehow truly great'

Lets see what happens next year, because if he sticks at 4 WDC's and someone else starts winning, then he can forget about statistical greatness , because MS will be top of that particular branch of greatness and along with 1 WDC holders Seb will merely be a 1 x 4 WDc holder in the same vein.

And Alonso and Lewis will still command more respect

You're a sad excuse for a race fan. :wavey-finger:

All year long Vettel has been saying "the team built a great car" like a bloody parrot. Still had nothing but praise for the team. When was the last time you achieved anything great? :banghead:

This man is a 4 time WORLD champion. He can say whatever he bloody well likes, and for once it's good that he talked about how he feels - how he was personally affected when getting booed all the time. That's the only personal thing he said. The rest was all praise about the team.

This man is one of the classiest World Champions in history. And is more than happy to let all the farcical fans of F1 who doubt his talents continue on their same deranged reasonings. He is more than happy to just keep driving and winning and praising the team instead of trying to prove to thick-headed Formula One fans just how bloody good he is.

He doesn't have to, nor will he try to prove anything to anyone.

Two things and these are not direct quotes, but close enough. "This has been a difficult year for me, not the competition ..... " and (about the booing) "I really don't understand it, I've done nothing wrong". Those two show me he really doesn't get it and probably never will.

Tough. Then why does he even bring up the booing? No one was booing in India. Actions speak louder than words. He can praise the team all he wants, but that doesn't change the fact that when you ignore orders from a team that has supported you so well you are pretty much dumping on them publicly. Furthermore, a champ should have more class than to put down his competition on the podium. If you had any sense you would see my objection has nothing to do with talent. Only total boneheads fail to realize that winning does not justify poor sportsmanship.

I agree with a lot of what operaman has to say, Vettel did let slip some stupid phrases which shows he's still an ignorant kid. "Even though we did nothing wrong" was the hilarious, he must be a bit of an idiot to say that and a bigger idiot if he actually meant it.

Anyway, he's won the WDC good for him, let's just hope the other teams are embarassed enough this year to do something about it for 2014. I liked Nico's friendly 'threat' on the podium and do hope it comes to fruition.

I respect him for his abilities. But not his personality. On the BBC he swore, they tried to cover it saying "it was in his second language". He cannot potray himself well enough. I liked the doughnuts though.
