:hehe: If he doesn't get it after this one, I suggest you just give up Cookin.

Finally a worthy drive from Perez today. Maybe he has learned from his mistakes, but is it too late?

It was a timely upturn in form, that's for sure.

An entire race without hitting anyone or running them off the road, was he medicated? :fishslap:

Maybe they gave him the same thing they gave to Maldonado, 12th in an uneventful race for him as well.

To be honest I thing Mclaren are just scaring him into droving well. They are going to sign him and always where (unless alonso fell out of of the ferrari tree)

Maybe McLaren are demanding that Button keep hitting Alonso's car for the remainder of the season, having Massa outscore him and make Ferrari think twice... and he does fall out of the Ferrari tree. It's a brilliant plan! :hehe:

Glad to see perez outqualified button defiantly today. Good performance from him. Mclaren better keep him. That car hasn't give him or button any real chance to shine this year

After all this time I still can't tell if he's any good. Can someone please enlighten me either way; I'm not bothered which.

Last race he showed promise. This time with good race place, I can see Mclaren get above 5th.

We'll I like Perez. He gives his all, close to the mark on some moves but I prefer that to cruise and collect. He tries and he's fast. I don't think he's generally been given the best strategies either . I certainly wouldn't put him in the Maldonado mould, I think he's better. Nor would I put him in the Grosjean mould, I don't think he's quite as good. But on the other hand he hasn't got the car at his disposal that Grosjean has . I certainly think he's done enough to keep his seat, he's been better than button quite often, so if he's under fire button should be too.

Quite often I'm not necessarily so sure about, but he's certainly picked it up in recent races.

The reason I said 'quite often' is because I think he had the speed on button from the beginning, but there was ' keep him away from me, ' come on guys' , less favourable strategies and some incidents for Perez on track which meant button brought home the points. Towards the end of the season it's been clearer to see his relative speed. I'm not saying he's always faster, button often is, and on merit, which is why I said 'quite often' , as in more then is immediately apparent.

quite true. spain immediately comes to mind where the team told him to hold position behind button three laps before the end. understandable to avoid an accident, although the gap was just 2 seconds when he got the call and he was still closing in.
