According to Sky Sports F1, New Jersey is now ON the calendar!

How this will affect the other 21 races I dont know.

I hope that the inaugural Russki GP stays cause I had a wild idea of going there. My wife's Russian colleague has contacts in the region and offered to help.

The 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix will be staged under floodlights as the event celebrates its tenth anniversary.

The previous nine incarnations of the race have been run at 3pm local time, meaning the midday sun is avoided and allowing a traditional European timeslot of 1pm UK time.

However, for the 2014, the race on 6th April will be pushed back to the twilight hours - similar to event in neighbouring Abu Dhabi.

"I think they are going to call it a twilight race," McLaren Team Principal Martin Whitmarsh commented.

"I've seen pictures of all the floodlights on it, so for their 10th anniversary they've got floodlights."

The news comes after confirmation that two of next seasons pre-season tests will be staged at the Bahrain International Circuit.

Yesterday at the market I bumped into the only guy I know locally that also happens to be an F1 fan. We chit chatted a bit about the season and the topic of New Jersey came up.

I realized after that how amazingly cool it is to have the opportunity to go see a GP in the streets and towns you grew up in. Rummaged through abandoned warehouses in, went hunting with slingshots, rode my bike along in, parked my car to go make out in, hang out on the cliffs and drink in. A lot of personal history indeed.

I'm rooting for you NJ to pull things together, I'm being selfish I know. But I want this!
