Red Bull played the f1 political game perfectly. They got the rules changed mid season by getting enough other teams to follow them. There were other ways to fix tire problems. You have to congratulate RB on their politics, it took away the competitive season we had and handed them 2 more championships.

I just listened to the james allen podcast there is a good bit at the end about what Redbull is doing and how. Also if you want to listen to it the bit on next year's power units is interesting as well

Great article in stating the obvious Gary Anderson, no wonder you are in such high demand as a car engineer. I guess Sebs car sounds different because RBR have engineered the sound waves from the car

I thought the same thing after reading it. Maybe that extra mm lower ride height makes the exhaust sound different and ignores how RB were adjusting Ride height while in parc ferme throughout 2011.

Reading that comment out of context doesn't relay the message I intended!

Spanky noted that Red Bull used "politics" to gain an advantage, which he gave them credit for doing whatever was necessary!
I agreed that politics is part of the "whole" package called strategy. The subsequent comments referred to Ferrari, to which
I replied with the above comment.

And, no, I didn't like that Mercedes blatantly broke a rule by implying the FIA sanctioned it, when that wasn't the case.
But, I wouldn't call that political, so much as it was a manipulation of people, rather than rules!

Yes, and we need to understand that and put people in charge who know how to make this work for my team. I'm afraid SD does not have what's needed in this department.

If you mean me, no, I'm just bored with it. Take Vettel and his enhanced Car out of the equation and I'm pretty happy with my man. I'd just rather the excitement about who finishes second was excitement for who finishes first. Lewis upped his chances for next year HUGELY when he left McLaren for Mercedes, nothing was expected for this year.

If you mean Newey. Well what he does is not really in the spirit of the game, but you have to hand it to him, he's one very clever guy. Always exploits the rules to the full, and gets away with it when he sneaks across the line of fair play. bad sport? Not really. If he gets away with it then the rules and policing are wrong not Newey.

McLaren fans are a bit but hurt this season, (the worst since perhaps 1980)... that's understandable but why take it out on others?
