I get why you're saying about Kimi. There is an arrogance ....or is it just irreverence? In the way he talks to his team, but it doesn't extend to stabbing a partner in the back. I've never seen Kimi do that. And I respect him for that.
I wonder why he is so revered for the things he says when the very same groups of people who revere him will lambast other drivers for being outspoken. Maybe it's because the other drivers are emotionally motivated and Kimi really doesn't give a damn. Wouldn't you just like to be able to be that cool!!! It's a job to Kimi, so he can't be hurt, intimidated, walked over.

That may be what it "appears" to be; but, only Kimi "knows"!!

Which is fair, but I reserve the benefit of the doubt on this one. So I'm with you LRW.

I am interested in who asked who about his comeback. Did lotus go and get him or did he turn up at thier door

Interesting question. He's definitely back though and gave them exactly what they needed a good baseline and foundation. I don't think Lotus would have been as resurgent without him. Had they paid him, I'm sure his preference would have been to stay there.

I was on the understanding that THEY went for HIM. I have no idea why I think this, or any evidence to back it up. I just have that in my end.

Yeah Kimi wanted back...since he got bored of deforestation using his car as a tool.

..... It's a job to Kimi......

And thats why he isnt a great driver to me. He seems to have no passion.

Oh no you can tell there is a passion, just by his reactions to certain situations he's just realistic, laid back and calm about everything. Abu Dhabi last year for example "I know what I'm doing", that in itself if you think about it shows he wants to drive, enjoys it and wants to win, if I remember correctly either last weekend or the previous race he said something about it's all about points and winning. Just look at the middle fingers and some of his insane overtakes/moves he's wanting to win.

I personally would pick Kimi as the better driver and he's also my favourite because of his attitude, style and doesn't play the political game. However in equal cars because of the fact Vettel has been given priority in a team, has made to feel good, given a strong winning, dominant car he might of acquired such of level of confidence that he matches Kimi but if Kimi was to beat him in an equal car once or twice then that confidence could shatter and quickly...

This is really a tough call, since I have reservations about both drivers. It's the only paring I've really no leanings on and would have loved to have seen materialize.

We have to ask why Raikkonen was rejected by Red Bull. I think that would be a supremely interesting management memo to have gotten one's hands on.
