Hey, I'm a newbie so I'm not sure if this topic has been covered already...had a quick check, don't think it has, so here goes...

Your favourite race so far this year? Which have you found most exciting, or historically memorable, or controversial etc..?

Personally, mine would have to be Germany, Canada and Singapore. A good year all around, however.

Discuss :)

British, Korean and Spa quali.

Interested on why Germany was one of your favourites, personally I thought that was quite a dull race.

Edit: Just saw fav team and driver, question asked and answered :hehe:

Yup ;)

I agree about Silverstone (until the end, of course...cue the heartbreak...) I was there and it was brill. Very disappointed with Spa this year, entertainment-wise.

Canada, because, well I was able to directly boo Vettel.
Silverstone, because of the lunacy.
Korea because apparently the three stooges manage the venue.

Silverstone GP.

Surprised no-one has mentioned Bahrain. It was excellent this year IMO.

I would say Silverstone and Bahrain have been the best.

Although, when all is said and done, it's not been a year of classic races so far.

In my head all the gp's this year have melted into 1... like the bond movies you know you have seen it but your not sure which one it is.

I think Korea will stand out for a while because of the fire truck

I must agree with this. :hehe: It's hard to pick a standout one...too many blowups, shenanigans, highway racings to keep track of.

Top 3 for me this season:

3. Singapore - The 1st half of the race was dull, but Ricciardo crashed at the perfect time and it made a great race. You had Alonso, Kimi, both McLarens and Hulkenburg trying to do 36 laps on a set of tyres, while Webber and the two Mercedes' cars pitted an extra time. The last 10 laps or so were excellent while Button, Perez and Hulk fell back. Also there was a great battle between Kimi and Button for P3. We also saw three of the best drives of the season from Vettel (pure attack mode) as well as Alonso and Kimi (i'm still not sure how they made those Pirelli's last 2/3 of the race!)

2. Australia - Nobody knew who was going to win until the final few laps, fascinating battle between Alonso on a 3 stop and Kimi on a 2. Also Sutil's drive was excellent but sadly the strategy didnt quite work at the end, as he pitted too early.

1. Silverstone - It had everything (except rain for once ) safety cars, tyre blowouts, overtakes and a Vettel DNF ;) - Seriously it was a brilliant race, shame there wasnt 1 more lap as i'd loved to have seen if Webber could have passed Nico after crusing up behind him. Also had stunning comebacks from Hamilton and Massa after early blowouts and Alonso's attack from 8th to 3rd in the last 5 laps was brilliant, as was Lewis late attack!

Oh Bahrain was another, Paul almost getting third, then a storming Grosjean on fresher tyres passed him with less than 10 laps to go, but Paul started closing in on him again, finishing around a second behind. Oh what could of been :hehe:

British...because I was there and Lewis put his thumb up to me. :wavey: And Lewis got pole AND he was dominating the race and pulling away from Vettel. Then the stupid tyre fiasco robbed him of a win, but we got to see a stunning drive back form last to 4th. Lewis at his stunningly brilliant best :cloud9:

Agreed, although I didn't get a thumb :(. The atmosphere towards the end was intense.

Awesome! Thanks for your responses guys. Interesting - never thought I'd hear people saying Bahrain was one of the best races of a season!
