Maldonado has done nothing worse than Lewis Hamilton did earlier in his career.

I must have missed the early part of Lewis Hamilton's career where he intentionally used his car as a battering ram on officials and other drivers.

Ok early career where Maldo was bad at Monaco. But in F1, Maldo has hardly done anything worse than Ham. The amount of stupid s*** he has done over the years...

Well, if you recall Hamilton finished every single race on the podium in his first half year in Formula One, which is hard to do if you crash into people, and finished the season without many incidents as well, if I recall correctly.

While Hamilton does make risky maneuvres, I feel he's generally not taking it over the edge (apart from a mistake here or there, but even Vettel drove into Button out of sheer stupidity at Spa last year). He had some issues with Massa last year, but I had the feeling that has as much to do with Massa, who would close the door on him every single time, just so he could bitch, whine, get Hamilton a penalty and help Alonso in the championship, because a sensible driver would give him room, the "live and let live" principle, as it had to do with Hamilton, who might've gotten a bit frustrated after having been receiving all those penalties that year. I felt India did a bit justice to the real balance between those two, because it was as much Massa's fault causing those accidents as it was Hamilton. The one coming from behind isn't always at fault. As an example: In the first lap of the Monaco GP 2011 Michael Schumacher dove into the inside of Hamilton at the old Loews Hairpin. While Hamilton was still in front and was allowed to close the door, he didn't so both cars could continue their race, meaning he would get stuck behind Schumacher. Later that race Hamilton pulled the exact same move on Massa, but Massa decided to close the door, while Hamilton was there and couldn't back out anymore once committed. They collided, damaging Massa's car to a point where he crashed in the tunnel. If Massa would be driving sensibly, leaving room so both cars would survive, like Hamilton did earlier that race, there would've been no issue. Now there was a crash and Hamilton was the bad guy. Hamilton looked bad last year while it was, to me, more a case of two drivers making each other's season miserable, while Massa got away with it the whole time until India. And that's really the only season I can remember Hamilton was considered a dangerous driver by anyone.

Disregarding the whole Monaco incident before Formula One, Maldonado has been driving into people on purpose to retaliate. He also has an incident with another driver almost every race, especially since his win, and these are different drivers all the time, not just him and another driver seeking each other out.

I don't quite see the comparison to Hamilton.

Does Maldonaldo carry out a religious ceremony before each race?

I don't see what maldo has done wrong, he's matured and had some genuine pace, not sure why you're all jumping straight on the defence and .... Oh yeah Lewis Hamilton.

Why are so many people taking photos of the back of his head?

Who do you think this photo? Just because you can't see the camera doesn't mean it's not there. :hehe:

He says he could stay home next year. I'd very much appreciate it if he did, regardless of whether or not Williams build a good car...

Bottas + Hulk in a race winning Williams would be beastly!

Indeed it would. Sadly, I can't see Williams producing a good enough car any time soon, which is massively frustrating. If I had a stack of cash I'd invest in them, because they need to get back to the front. Alas, Bernie won't give me his money. :(

I've got some shares, but interestingly the only race they won since they had their old chief designer was the Spanish GP last year (I forget when he started, around the end of BMW era me thinks), but now they've got Pat Symonds replacing him, and he is good.
