So there's a 2012 Fastest Lap challenge in a mall very close to my house where a full F1 simulation is set up complete with 3 screens, accel, wheel, the works. Competition is open from Friday till Sunday 8pm, 3 hot laps at Sepang circuit with a RB for rm15 (about USD5)...I had a go and managed to get the quickest so far. 1:45:8, next quickest time set was a 1:50:4, 3rd placed so far is a 1:54.

Told the guy to give me a ring if anyone beats my time and I'll have another go tomorrow. 1st place gets a pretty decent spec desktop computer. Time to start

(I'm a few days late with this one but it happened this week) I'm sitting in a Vietnamese restaurant having dinner with my wife, and telling her about Korea (like she really cares) and how Qualifying will be on my birthday and what a crappy circuit it is in terms of attendance blah blah blah... When I hear the guy sitting the next table over also talking about the Korean GP.

What are the chances? So even though he's a Tifoso, we chit chat for a while as our meals get cold, turns out he was at the last Indianapolis race and saw the tire fiasco first hand. He owns a restaurant/pub (pretty well reviewed as it turns out) the next county over and I said I'd pass by soon.

I don't run into many F1 fans.

I met Eddie Jordan in Covent Garden a few years back. There's a picture of it somewhere on Facebook.

Today I am inconsolable! I entered a competition for a Mercedes Tshirt signed by. Lewis Hamilton and I won. But because I was away and not monitoring my twitter account I didn't know and missed the deadline to claim the prize. Someone else has it. I am suicidal!!
