awful call by Mercedes to not bring in Nico and Lewis during the safety car, it was that stratergy alone that allowed Alonso and Raikonnen to get theri podium, but a podium is a podium is a podium so congratulations to all.

From listening to the post race, Mercedes and Red Bull were suprised Alonso and Kimi made it to the end. McLaren tried and failed, and Mercedes knew they're car couldnt do 36 laps on the primes. In fact, Massa went to a 3 stop, making me think it was Alonso brilliance that got the car to the end without problems. Had Mercedes tried, they would have ended up the same way as McLaren, who lost 40 seconds over the last 5/6 laps.

s*** always happens for Webber. Why not Vettel? Why do I get this assumption that Red Bull are screwing up Webber's car?

Ughhh please don't start this. We had it back in Hamilton's McLaren days. Conspiracy theories galore.

Why would a team put their own results and reputation in jeopardy by purposely screwing up one of their cars?!?!?!?! Ludicrous!

Webber gets a penalty for getting a lift, wow.

I'm pretty sure Alonso hitched a lift with Webber, some point back in 2011? I'm also confident there was NO such reprimand like this?

Oh, and the booing of Vettel was worse than the stewarding today, I can understand at Monza - anyone who beats a Ferrari is booed, but in a neutral country I was quite angry at the booing, its not right. Well done to Martin Brundle for telling them to stop though!

I think all the booing relates to multi-21 at Malaysia - people have a right to their own views on that and I don't think their right to protest should be taken away from them.

I just think it's tiresome, boring and childish.

I'm not sick of Vettel winning. He's in a great car, he's driving well, so it's deserved. The other teams need to up their game. The boos, I am certainly sick of. It's pretty shameful from the fans, really.

But the thing I hate the most right now is that Formula 1 has some pretty serious issues that are simply not being addressed and it's actually causing me to lose interest.

Which issues Denthul? (I'm pretty sick of those petty boos too).

I think the reprimand was deserved! Although nice to see, but quite a risky and unprofessional maneuver. Stopping a car to pick a driver right after a no-sight turn in a F1 track?
:yikes: <- Hamilton's face :P

But problem is not the reprimand, problem is the accumulated reprimands that caused the ten-place penalty. Bare that in mind when shouting that it was unfair and abuse of power :)

Lol....maybe it was because he already had track position and could afford to cruise while Button was doing the heavy lifting keeping Kimi behind....while Massa was always having to push playing catch up? Brilliance...lol what was he doing, blowing at his tyres while driving around? :hehe:

I think when it was first announced, there were a number of people all too happy to calculate how Vettel would have accumulated a penalty last year. Doesn't that hurt :hehe:

It may or may not be relevant, however a lot of talk going on between forum members (and others in the media as well as in F1 teams), about the appropriateness or otherwise of the reprimands handed to Alonso and Webber, and it may be useful to note that there was actually a crash during the slow down lap after the GP2 sprint race which was only a couple of hours before the F1 GP.

It may be that the stewards conveyed a message to the F1 drivers to be especially careful on the slow down lap as a result? If so they would take a very dim view of any potentially careless actions, which could have led to the reprimands... Going from my limited first hand experience of racing, this is a distinct possibility.

Again, just speculating, and it might be completely irrelevant, but it is something to think of.

That, in all liklihood, is very relevant.

Alonso started his stint stuck behind Hamilton,Webber and Rosberg, but instead of fight them, Alonso preserved his tyres knowing they had to stop!

Well yes, he knew track position was available to him and his only threat for 2nd place was Kimi who was on the same strategy as he was. But we're comparing him and Massa.....Massa was down the field and naturally had to fight to salvage something out of the race, he couldn't afford to cruise from the get go when the SC went in.

I said it was BS that Webber got a penalty and I thought it was for being taken back to the pits. But now I see the footage and I am glad Webber got a penalty because he put his own life at risk, nearly hit by Rosberg and it was a dangerous act. He is lucky not to be on the coroners table right now...

Anybody that claims this isn't dangerous is not in their right mind. It was unfortunate that it was Webber's 3rd reprimand and that's what's costing him the grid penalty, but they needed to be reprimanded for it. On a blind corner, it wasn't safe.
