Ah, I understand now... You're a Ferrari fan; but, your favourite driver is Vettel!
No wonder you bit my head off in that earlier post and it's no wonder you are now
criticising Alonso!

I'm sure you've mentioned it before; but, I'm just now connecting the dots!! :wavey:

I actually admire Alonso's skill as a driver but irrespective of fandom, what he did today was stupid and dangerous. He could have injured himself and others.

You can bet that he'll be getting a royal ticking off from Monty in the Ferrari paddock for doing that.

I will agree that it wasn't a great call; but, to insist he be penalized more than Webber because something worse could have happened doesn't sound the best course of action. Otherwise, the stewards will have their hands so full giving all sorts of reprimands they won't have time to watch the race!!

The only error Alonso made was where he picked Webber up, he should have been to the right in the runoff zone when he did it. Had he let the lotus go then pulled right and out of the way nothing would have been said.

A fine and a lecture on the potential dangers of what they did would have sufficed. For Webber's next race to be affected by this is simply a disgrace!

The top 3 drove flawlessly today. Alonso and Raikkonen were the only two who were able to keep their tyres in good condition for over half a race. Vettel had the fastest car, but he still had to drive using his brain at the start then the stint to pull 30s on Alonso in 10-12 laps was what won him the race. Had he lost track position it would have been very hard to pass Alonso on the track given the Red Bull's poor straightline speed!

Oh, and the booing of Vettel was worse than the stewarding today, I can understand at Monza - anyone who beats a Ferrari is booed, but in a neutral country I was quite angry at the booing, its not right. Well done to Martin Brundle for telling them to stop though!

One of the commentators said that 8% of residents in Singapore are British and that might explain the booing. But whoever is doing it, it is now counter-productive because it is acting as a catalyst to Vettel into better performances. The fools who boo should stop to think who's having the last laugh.

It seems we are careering down the path of creating namby-pamby's out of F1 drivers. To try and mount an argument that expecting an F1 driver to be able to see and maneuver his car with a dozen car lengths of visibility while traveling at 70Kph somehow represents "danger" is just silly. I believe it was Lewis driving, he barly moved his hands, and most importantly, watch his helmet as he goes past, it doesn't even warrant a second glance - if a 70kph move with a football field on either side is dangerous then the emasculation of F1 is complete. I'm going to sit down now and watch Giles battling with Rene in 79 and think about how dangerous Alonso and Webber are :hehe:

I think all the booing relates to multi-21 at Malaysia - people have a right to their own views on that and I don't think their right to protest should be taken away from them.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

I agree, but I still think its gone too far now. I cheered when Vettel was robbed of his win at Silverstone due to the gearbox faliure. That for me was karma for Multi21 and from then on, I moved on. I dont remember every crowd booing Schumacher after Austria 2002!

No. Vettel unfortunately provided that Malaysian indiscretion just at a time when the hate-brigade had started realising that "it is all Newey" was sounding rather too monotonous for even themselves to believe any more. Most of them don't give a hoot about the supposed injustice to Webber but are only too happy for the opportunity to sprout out their hatred in the name of "right to protest". Pathetic.

On the contaray, I did think it was a bit dangerous, I mean the way Alonso parked, I don't mind the driving another driver off whilst he is sat on top, but Alonso's parking was a bit dangerous, I mean did you see how near that car was to hitting Webber? And Why once more are we on the lets hate Lewis bandwagon...It was a blind corner, did he expect Alonso to give Webber a ride? No....And 50MPH is quite fast to be honest

Not a great place to stop and definitely worthy of a reprimand for both. It's just unfortunate that it happened to be Webber's third. I imagine if Alonso had driven into the run-off area to collect Webber, it wouldn't have been a big deal.

I'm definitely getting tired of the boos for Vettel, it's kind of ridiculous.

There needs to be a poll. What are you sick of more? Vettel's winning or the boos against Vettel?
