Alonso seems to be willing to burn bridges with every team that does not suit his current needs. He has had a strong relationship with Renault, switched to Mclaren and instead of taking the opportunity to make the best of being on one of the better teams on F1, made an bottom of himself.

Now he has alienated his own team, and pretty much proven that his talents rely solely on the car he is driving. His willingness to blame others for his own shortcomings make him unattractive despite the titles which are fast fading from memory.

Whatever the situation with Massa and Ferrari may be, I think it's too early in the season to be passing statements like that. Is this his way of preparing us for another lackluster performance?

I think Alonso would be perfect at FIAt. I will say no more than that.

Massa has a contract till 2010 and don't forget that he is managed by jean todt's son so he is practically family. If Massa does have a bad season i don't think that he will be let go as schumi, who is still a presence in the team, will be in his corner. The only chance Alonso has to drive for Ferrari in 09 is if Kimi gets bored with F1 and decides to go.

So after announcing he had signed with McLaren straight after Renault had given him a championship-winning car, after going to McLaren and causing havoc and blackmailing his boss, then after getting thrown out of McLaren and going back to the team he spurned in the first place, he decides, two races into the season, to say to all his mechanics, engineers, designers, etc, "well fellas, thanks for your help but I'll probably bugger off at the end of the season anyway" Well that'll motivate them no end!

Another lesson in how NOT to conduct yourself as an F1 driver...

Absolutely :)

Alonso had already said that at the beggining of this season, when he signed with Renault. I think he explained in that ocassion if Ferrari (only Ferrari) offers him a contract, he'll be allowed to sign. If not, he has to continue the contract.

In my opinion there is no matter with his words, he only has explained his possibilities to next year. Alonso is not thinking of going to other team, because all the people knows that if Renault will put money on the car, next year or two years after Renault could be one of the bests cars in the grill.

I think Alonso will continue in Renault next year, first of all because Ferrari will contract Vettel, and secondly because Briatore understands Alonso and thinks that they will be able to win another World Championship.

Massa may move to whatever replaces Toro Rosso because one of the frontrunners to buy it is his manager, Nicholas Todt - backed no doubt by daddy's money.

That doesn't mean Ferrari would hire Alonso though. For one thing they already have a WDC in the team, for another, Alonso has shown that he's not to be trusted.

However, as long as he stays the hell out of Honda, I don't care where he goes.

Wow I cant beleive it! After only 2 races, Alonso is already talking about next season! That is soooooo Alonso to be talking about leaving Renault after 2 races. And I thought he was happy there, because he seems like he's not having problems like he was at Mclaren. I just hope he doesnt go to Ferrari so that we dont have another 2000-2004 era of Ferrari again.

I would love to see Alonso and Raikkonen in the same team though, would make for very interesting viewing.

ALonso couldnt handle having Hamilton as team mate hows he going to cope with Raikonnen? ALonso demands number 1 status he wont be getting that if Kimi is his team mate. I would love to see the two together though. Kimi wouldnt care who his team mate is aswell, he just races whoever thats cool!

Hey I'm not putting down Ferrari or schumi, but I mean enough is enough. I mean I found that era particularly boring, and I know you can agree with me on that.

Hey I'm not putting down Ferrari or schumi, but I mean enough is enough. I mean I found that era particularly boring, and I know you can agree with me on that.

It can also be said that in any other form or era of motorsport's that was dominated by one team or model was boring right? Take Porsche's 917 domination on the Can Am serie's which led to that serie's demise or Audi's domination of the GroupB rally serie's with their SWB Quattro Turbo or even Jaguar's XJR12 domination of IMSA, I dont see any of those as boring but I do understand the point that is being made.

My outlook is yes race's can get boring for the spectator but I also get a thrill from a manufacturer/team who get's their package 'spot on' for a dominating run of a serie's. Yes I will pull for 'David to beat Goliath' as that's alway's fun to see but I cannot take away anything from a team who consistantly has the best driver and car package. That just mean's they have hit upon a package of car/driver/team that is better than the rest which is something to be in awe of imho especially in F1.
