I think Raikkonen's character suits Ferrari quite well. All drivers of the scarlet car don't have to be similar - in fact Raikkonen and Alonso will be perfect foils for each other. Kimi's presence will add spice to the proceedings and I am sure that they'll enjoy that in the paddock.

I am certainly looking forward to this. I strongly feel that Ferrari are now thinking of the WCC next year in opting for Kimi. They will be given equal status and rather than feel apprehensive about it, Alonso should join in.

Completely agree with you!! I was referring to Massa's fans, who support him for their own reasons.
Look, I think he's a great little guy, I really do; but, he has not been the same since his accident.
Unfortunately, his fans believe that all he needed was a little more time and that he is being unfairly
compared to Alonso, who is in a class of his own. But, how much time is "enough"? Hasn't Ferrari been
very supportive of Massa? Haven't they extended his contract to give him time? Didn't they let their
latest WDC go in favour of keeping Massa at Ferrari? I mean, seriously? How much more supportive
could Ferrari have been??

Don't know if this is true. But it says Ferrari told Hulkenberg they didn't want him by text. :( .

That's a bit off if its true.

I'd heard that there was a contract prepared for Hulk around the time of Hungary, but not signed, then something made them change their minds

Lol, this probably tells us two things:-
1) Hulks manager mixed up his aspirations with his abilities
2) How far off a real chance Nico really was in getting a drive at Ferrari

Seems Kimi will be arriving at Ferrari next year with his own Beer :)

Ferrari have made their second high-level technical recruitment this year, signing Lotus's head of aerodynamics Dirk De Beer.

The Italian team have already taken on Lotus's former technical director James Allison.

The South African is not well known but is highly rated within the sport.

Lotus took the unusual step of asking him to keep working on their 2014 car after he handed in his resignation a few weeks ago.

Ferrari's deal with De Beer was done several months ago, in the wake of them agreeing the deal with Allison, who has worked with him for several years.

Ferrari have not yet officially announced his arrival but sources say he will start work in Maranello on 1 October.

He is attending a meeting of F1's technical working group - which discusses rule changes - with Allison in London on Friday.

De Beer will initially work alongside the team's head of aerodynamics Loic Bigois and under Allison, who as technical director (chassis) is responsible for all design aspects of the car.

Ferrari have not won the world title since 2007 and have admitted that they are still struggling to cope with the disappointment of Fernando Alonso losing out on the championship in agonising style last year.

The Spaniard also should have won in 2010, only for Ferrari to throw away the championship with a strategic error in the final race of the season.

But their recruitment drive this season underlines their determination to replace Red Bull as the dominant force in F1.

Having signed Allison and De Beer, they this week also recruited Kimi Raikkonen as team-mate to Alonso next season, giving them the strongest driver line-up on the grid.

The departures are a blow for Lotus, who are also to lose their head of computational fluid dynamics (CFD), a crucial design tool.

Replacing De Beer next month as head of aero at Lotus will be Nicolas Hennel, who is currently at Ferrari.

Not sure, but apparently they've nabbed Nicolas Hennel from Ferrari, so who knows what will happen? It is a shame to see them losing three big names in a season, but I suppose that's what happens when your finances are all over the place. :(

Lol and Boullier was the team boss who said "Lotus, McLaren, Ferrari" are teams that are most stable in the sport and where drivers would want to be since these are the teams which will never leave F1. :hehe:

Ok they are still in F1, but please....stable my ar$e.

Luca is finally making the right moves from Kimi to the Aero guy....now lets see how really serious he is in turning the
team around and fire that dum arse Stephano...I am getting excited again

Luca complete the job and fire Stephano at the end of the season

You have put the people in place but without a capable leader all your work will go to pot

Me thinks Huck was getting the ride is Kimi didn't sign, I also think that Kimi was given a certain period of time to agree

With the rumours that Renault and Total coming on board in a big way next year Luca knew that Kimi was the right guy and
in a short period of time made the deal

Kimi has a large number of fans when he was with Ferrari and those fans will come back.....i would venture to say that for evey Massa fan that leaves the Tifosi Kimi will bring in 1000

Kimi has 1000 times more marketing appeal than Massa

I very much doubt that, however Raikkonen probably has about 1000 time more appeal than Alonso.

Then he's got a lousy agent. Cause he's not turning that appeal into cash.
