I don't think WIlliams is going to change their drivers, too busy on improving the car they need some consistency.

I'm still curious about McLaren's title sponsor announcement as that may very well have a lot of bearing on their decision to keep Button. I wonder if Honda themselves would come in as a "sponsor" a la Infinity with McLaren next year as a precursor to 2015. That would be a little awkward but not out of the question.

Button will be kept on by McLaren. Perez is too much of a liability to be the lead driver and Button knows the team. It would seem stupid to ditch him.

I bet Cookingflatsix is reading this, getting really mad and making a note to tell us all why Button shouldn't be kept on when he returns from his holiday! :hehe:

Maybe Honda has a surprise in store for us, Takuma Sato or Kamui Kobayashi to take Button's seat! Now wouldn't that be magic.

If The Hulk doesn't get the Lotus seat I will be mad. :(

Same. The Hulk deserves something bigger and better now. He's proved himself more than once...

I dont think Perez is contracted, as McLaren havent officially used up their "Option" on him. Sure I heard a couple of F1 reporters saying that Button is signed but they are waiting to finalise Perez' contract extension so they can announce them both together.

I know you have said 'based on the current standings'. Does that mean that in the unlikely event of Rosberg overtaking Hamilton the numbers will be switched?

I hope Chilton gets a seat next year, I mean he stands out against the rest of the people who have drove for a year and failed, he can continue to make good work next year

I think he means in the likely event Mercedes overtakes Ferrari once again, Lewis will wind up with number 3. Which is in and of itself difficult to comprehend given where Mercedes was last year.

Meh, Chilton is nothing special. I'd be much happier if a promising young driver got the seat, instead of someone with a big wallet.
