Always look forward to Singapore, the longest race on the calender in terms of time duration gets generally gets close to the 2 hour time limit pending on Safety car periods. A couple changes to this years track layout for the Singapore GP, the major one is that of the "Singapore Sling" (turn 10 chicane), Instead of the mickey mouse chicane that has been there for previous years, it will now be just a single apex left hand turn. So lap times will be a bit quicker.

I personally really like this track, mainly because its very challenging, if you ever played it on Codemasters F1 2011 or 2012 on a full race distance, you'll know what i'm talking about, its fun but mentally draining, makes me think what it would be like doing it for real.

NIce track yes. Heard they have removed the 'Singapore Sling' chicane for this year.

Did they remove it completely or soften it?

I know we saw a blurb about it, but I though they'd just softened to remove the "launchpad effect of hitting the second curb after missing the first.

I am interested in how Mercedes and Red Bull are going to set their cars-up. The change to a lower downforce configuration to improve straight speed paid off in Spa and Monza for Red Bull but they will revert to a more 'traditional' set-up for Marina Bay, I expect.....but perhaps not too much so.

Hamilton believes that the higher downforce requirements of this track will suit the Mercs but I wonder how it will affect tyre wear? I guess the team will have to get the balance just right.

Is that the turn that Hamilton described as the worst on the F1 calendar?

Yes, and no one liked it anyway. The worst part was that the dirvers were bodily jerked around in the cockpits as they negotiated it and for poorly padded little guys like Hamilton or Vettel it would have been painful.

I personally liked that corner. Corner 10 if my memory serves me right. It's a bitch to get right on the Xbox, but awesome when you do.

They could of got it right if they slowed down a little.

I'm sure Kimi is pleased with the change since he was one of the drivers who couldn't handle it.
