Yep that is part of the changes. The way I am looking at it is that just like most drivers we all speed. Well I have spent my life speeding and now got caught.

my mega healthy diet of eat what I like, drink what I like, and do minimal exercise has finally caught up with me.

I got told on friday they day before my holiday. I have type 2...

Though not the best news, regarding your health, just remember that it is manageable!!
You MUST take control of your health and you MUST follow through on what your doctors
tell you. Also, besides taking meds, for the time being, you're right about making a real
lifestyle change!! Take a look at some of the holistic measures some people are finding
so much success with. Something will "fit" for you and your life!!

Good luck, my friend!! :wavey:

The mother in law bought a book for me about type 2 which goes through it all noddy style and day by day reading

A word to the wise: Let your mother-in-law and your wife do the reading and let them tell you what to do!
It will go a long way to easing their minds that they're doing everything they can to keep you healthy! :D

It is easier to let them tell them what to do... I learnt that a long time ago. The trouble is the MIL is a new age crystal wearing tree bark eating hippy, that worries me on what she will read.

When SWMBO and I first started going out I got a cold or something and she made me eat Sea Kelp.

Hopefully, your SWMBO will temper anything the MIL suggests!! :P

That is it you can not prove it did or didn't. My standard response to most of her suggestions now is "does modern science recognise it, and replicate it in any way?"

she is also into spiritualism, so it it no end of fishing for reactions from her

Well, me today. Two hours in the dentist chair and ten injections. :yellowyikes: mouth sore, needed wine to help me recover! I've never liked the dentist much since one hit me when I was little because I was scared and whimpering. I felt like whimpering today but I was a brave girl.....well relatively brave....bit of a baby. :(
