All such discussion is pretty irrelevant to me anyway after two races. I'd say give it five races and then we'll get a clearer view. Ferarri seem to be ahead at the moment judging by the pace in Malaysia but we've seen how quickly things can change.

And I as well can counter that by saying that this time last season McLaren was leading both championships but Ferrari who had the better car prevailed after the last race as champion. And that is what is likely to happen since Ferrari has the fastest and better car again this season. So like Snugs said, get used to it.

"Win at all costs" is not an ethos I understand. I think there is a richness to sport that is more than simply winning. That is why my username refers to one of Clark's best performances, a race he didn't actually win.

Like onelapdown i think there is a difference between winning and winning fairly. Last year Ferrari won fairly because Mclaren failed to get the job done in the last two races of the season. Many Ferrari "wins" in the past have been due to manipulation and so are of little value compared to wins where the better team won

To all who contributed to the anti Kiki's ways of winning comments, I guess not all think alike which is fair enough. I know my way of thinking is not liked by some but in the end I am in F1 for Ferrari and only Ferrari. I follow other types of motorsports, ie Rallies but F1 is the only open wheeled type of racing I follow. If there were no Ferrari then it would not interest me at all as with the exception of F1, I prefer Rally type motorsports and Touringcar type as well but not open wheeled racing. When watching F1 all the really gives me pleasure is the glory and passion, that is the glory and passion of Ferrari. That to me is everything and what makes F1 worth all that it is and greater than all other forms of motor racing. And I know that Ferrari is very much an international team followed by people all across the globe, but when Ferrari wins it gives me a sense of belonging to a national level. It is like I am cheering for Italy in football. This sense of belonging and emotion drives me even more to follow and appreciate the passion and glory that Ferrari truly is.

Weeeellll... Kimi won fairly and I don't think anybody complained about that. But Ferrari's got their constructor's title served by FIA, and I don't think that was fair, after all the controversy we had from Max during that judging. From my point of view, team was supposed to be fined financially for having Ferrari's info, but as it was not proved that any of that was used in McLaren's car, I still think they should of keep their points. Anyway...

The two big events I remember from that year are the Austrian GP and the French GP. In Austria Barrichello took pole, legitimately led the race on merit but had to hand the win to Schumacher, who started the race with double the points of his nearest competitor, to help him win a championship that was never going to go to a non-Ferrari driver. In France Shumacher was in second place behind Raikkonen and had obviously decided not to challenge the leader and take the points for second instead. Kimi slid off on oil and lost his first win and Schumacher inherited another win he didn't deserve. It's one thing to settle for points in a close championship but when you're 54 points ahead with 7 races left it is simply pathetic. The other big event was Schumacher handing the USA win to Barrichello in a farcical manner, but I don't remember this as I'd stopped watching F1 in disgust at the way Ferrari were treating the sport with such utter contempt.

I think Ferrari fans need to understand that it is this kind of behaviour that gets evryone else's backs up, and it will take a long time for us to forgive Ferrari for it.

You are wrong Ferrari won the '07 WCC because McLaren were caught cheating, where have you been ? I personaly would have stripped McLaren of their WCC point's and their WDC point's, because of the PROOF we have concerning the email's, yet I would have enforced a much smaller, if any at all, financial fine.

Well as a Ferrari fan and your obvious McLaren support or just shere hatred for a truelly great team, we are tired of the constant whining and looking for a scapegoat, such as the FIA, for either having an inferior package or cheating in one form or fashion and then getting caught but still CRYING!

Ferrari is not the only team to hand over win's for point's to secure a WCC or WDC. The rule's have changed in that a driver cannot give up his car but other than that I see NO difference from the 'golden era' of F1?

This has nothing to do with the FIA being handed their wins or 'engineering' their wins with a win at all costs attitude. What if Schumacher crashed and broke his legs again? What if he missed half the season for whatever reason and those wins kept his title hopes alive?

Again, it's typical Ferrari anti mentality, only focusing on the bad and trying to drag down everything they do. I garantee you if it was Nigel 'I'm too fat to fit in my car' Mansell trying to maximise his position you'd be defending him exactly the way I'm defending Schumi now.
