I am convinced that Vettel will not only one day drive for Ferrari, he will achieve something that Alonso has so far not done and probably never will - win both WDC and WCC for them. More than once.

All Ferrari have to do is give him the chance to do so in 2016. I want to see the day he drives the scarlet car first across the line at Monza and then see the Tifosi reaction.

I will tell you now what that reaction will be. We will cheer him. Why. Because Ferrari comes before anyone. The driver isn't above the team. No matter who it is. At the moment if Alonso wins, Ferrari wins. If in the future Vettel is at Ferrari and he wins, then it will mean Ferrari wins. That is all that matters to me and the other tifosi.

This is why I've always never liked the tifosi and always found them far too closed minded and it angers me that they bood like they did.

That also has to raise the question of whether the Tifosi's mentality and all the 'no driver is bigger than the team' / 'Ferrari is a religion' is correlated to their obvious relative under performance over the years. Would the Tifosi boo Massa?

The next highest amount was Grosjean with 3.

Alonso also passed 3 (unless the 1st lap pass on Hulk round the outside of T2 doesnt count) - but to be fair when youre near the front like Alonso was you arent going to pass many. Sadly Alonso didnt have the pace to push Vettel harder, as if he could have I think he could have pushed the RBR into a DNF.

The pass on Massa doesn't count because he let him through, not sure about that other one, I can check.

Yes. The overtaking statistics start from lap two. Alonso on Webber for third place on lap three.

Massa didn't do any overtakes.

..... Alonso on Webber for third place on lap three.

Possibly the overtake of the race. No difference in tire deg and Mark in a fundamentally faster car.

These two guys are buddies, and if you noticed for quite a while, Webber is always getting overtaken by Alonso and when he's in a threatening position he just sits behind and happy to let his buddy take points of his evil team. Alonso also has the confidence that his buddy will relent when push comes to shove.

It must have been a better pass than even I thought it was :hehe:

Build a better car, and the wins at Ferrari will come....

I'm convinced the F138 racing under the rules and regs announced and agreed before the season was a contender. Without the mid-season change in the rules, the Ferrari drivers had a competitive car.

I felt the same about Force India and Lotus, and that they were punished for making a car that works well with the tyres.

Nuh a lot of us there were jeering him. And we are all cool. So it means I must be cool. Infact I know I am cool and many a times i find it hard to be humble knowing I am great just like all the other tifosi who at Monza had the divine right to boo Vettel. And for the record I and most of us never have booed Hamilton when he was winning at McLaren and being an arch rival to Ferrari. Despite not liking Hamilton on the track, he was and still is a great person. Vettel is so arrogant. This is why I and the majority of other tifosi booed him, not because he beat Ferrari. Afterall this isnt the first time a rival has beaten us at Monza.

There is nothing cool about supporting Ferrari, nor is there anything cool about bad sportsman/womanship. Take your bad attitude to the footyball, not F1.

There's nothing wrong with Vettel. Despite all his success he seems to avoided becoming an arrogant little jerk. Infact, he seems a thoroughly nice chap in interviews.

I'd say 8. Not much action on track but a Vettel win clearly annoying the Tifosi makes up for it. :hehe:

Sorry to disappoint you; but, Vettel doesn't annoy me!
He's amusing to watch and listen to! And, If I'm being
totally honest, he has a boyish charm that's cute!!

I'm sure Lew will totally agree with you. :D

I'm sorry you feel that way. But booing him I still do not regret. In fact personally it gave me some level of satisfaction. I know what I did with the others is seen as non sporting by you and others, I'm not trying to convince anyone it is right or even wrong. Tifosi just follow their hearts, and at an event like Monza, I guess it is in the heat of the moment. If I saw Vettel now, no way I would boo him at all. Anyway it is too hard to explain. Passion is a feeling. Words not to easy to use to explain this and neither is my level with the English language.

I guess you think supporting a drinks company is cooler? Perhaps when the drink is in the fridge then?
And football or should I say "footyball" and F1 all the same when it comes to being passionate. For me it is anyway. And there is nothing wrong with booing at a football game. Its just noises. Being violent at any sports venue is wrong however.

Speaking for myself, i would not boo Massa. But I and many other tifosi think he isn't good enough anymore for that second seat and needs to be replaced in 2014. In fact a lot of us wanted him gone in 2012.

You're a credit to the F1 fanbase.

A drinks company that's beaten Ferrari hollow since 2009.

F1 is a gentlemans sport compared to footyball! It is a truly obnoxious and pointless game.

It's funny, whenever Alonso and Webber are fighting for position, they always have the best chemistry in a fight for the position. Impossible moves, they are two of the most technical drivers

I think it's that their both very fair on each other but just to the point where they'll avoid an accident. They are both old school drivers and know how dangerous the sport can be, and that to win you must first finish; so they won't put each other in a compromising position; that and they both trust that the other own't do anything massively erratic.
