Just watched the highlights, thank Zeus I didn't watch the full race...
They (McLaren) should paint their cars blue and throw them to the sea,
None should came across, this -damn mp4-28- useless cursed sh!t, ever again :yikes:

No use in that. Neptune would just throw them back.

No surprise who did the most overtakes in the race. :D Lewis and Kimi.....8 each. Which will be why they were the most exciting part of the race. The next highest amount was Grosjean with 3.
#372676
More so Hamilton though, as Kimi went to last and mostly passed Marussias and Caterhams

Alonso also passed 3 (unless the 1st lap pass on Hulk round the outside of T2 doesnt count) - but to be fair when youre near the front like Alonso was you arent going to pass many. Sadly Alonso didnt have the pace to push Vettel harder, as if he could have I think he could have pushed the RBR into a DNF.

I have to disagree there. The 2013 Ferrari is certainly fast and I do not for one moment believe that Alonso did not have the pace to match Vettel. In fact, once he got to P2 he not only matched Vettel for pace but closed-in twice. The first time, a slightly miscalculated strategy increased the distance between them and then Alonso was steadily closing in on Vettel in the last few laps. The scarlet car was doing fine.

As I mentioned elsewhere, the reason Alonso was unable to catch Vettel at Monza was because he did not qualify well enough and Vettel was too far ahead by the time Alonso found breathing space. That has been the case in many races in the past.

Think back to the 2011 British GP. Vettel was comfortably leading with Alonso doing little more than holding station. But once he got past during Vettel's poor pit stop, the Ferrari was able to stay comfortably ahead of the RB7 for rest of the race even though the latter had no other issues. And this was the ultra-dominant RB7.

Those bloody podium interviews. So awful. And the worst place to do it is infront of the tifosi when a Ferrari hasn't won. Knew it was gonna happen. And it's a poor show. No respect at all.

I wanna give Seb a cuddle (amongst other things...)

The podium interview was a total farce! As usual, Vettel handled the jeers very well.

He did.

What else can you do when confronted with such a barrage of idiocy?

I was there and guess what, i booed vettel as well and am damm proud of it. Monza wasn't the only place he was booed at. i remember it happening at silvetone & Montreal. But it was more tense at Monza and that was good  because at Monza i proudly contributed in jeering at the little ....... lol

You're a disgrace to F1 support. Go back to the footyball terraces where that is considered appropriate behaviour.

Funny things is, you'll be cheering Vettel once he starts winning masses of races for Ferrari.

Nuh a lot of us there were jeering him. And we are all cool. So it means I must be cool. Infact I know I am cool and many a times i find it hard to be humble knowing I am great just like all the other tifosi who at Monza had the divine right to boo Vettel. And for the record I and most of us never have booed Hamilton when he was winning at McLaren and being an arch rival to Ferrari. Despite not liking Hamilton on the track, he was and still is a great person. Vettel is so arrogant. This is why I and the majority of other tifosi booed him, not because he beat Ferrari. Afterall this isnt the first time a rival has beaten us at Monza.

The F138 was a competitive car well designed for the 2013 rules (I think along with the Lotus they were probably the best 2 cars had the rules not been changed). 2013 was to be a year where tire temp and management took focus away from aeros. Sadly a safety issue arose and, although other options were available, the FiA chose to address that problem in accordance with Red Bull's wishes.

The tires Pirelli now supply mean teams can now run 1 stop races (a la Bridgestone days). On the first stint, Seb opened up a lead on Nando that was in excess of 7 seconds. In a few laps before Seb stopped, Nando nearly cut that lead in half. Clearly the F138 was able to get a lot more from its tires. Sadly, when the FiA threw out tire management with their mid-season rule change, so was all of Ferrari and Lotus's advantage. Hence the rest of season looking like a cakewalk for Red Bull and Vettel. For sure, had the teams had to race using the original 2013 rules, the result here would have been completely different.

Passionate fans will boo and jeer, that is natural. The more passionate the more this will manifest itself. The Tifosi are passionate and opinionated fans. Their respect can be earned in a few way. It is clear the Tifosi respected Webber. Perhaps there is some respect for Seb, but as of now, it doesn't appear he has earned much. That may change who knows.

Speaking as an individual fan, quite a few seasons ago I didn't have much time for Lewis. Now, I can say I respect his driving skills, and I actually like the way he wears his heart on his sleeve. I'd welcome him as a driver at Ferrari.

I am convinced that Vettel will not only one day drive for Ferrari, he will achieve something that Alonso has so far not done and probably never will - win both WDC and WCC for them. More than once.

All Ferrari have to do is give him the chance to do so in 2016. I want to see the day he drives the scarlet car first across the line at Monza and then see the Tifosi reaction.

I will tell you now what that reaction will be. We will cheer him. Why. Because Ferrari comes before anyone. The driver isn't above the team. No matter who it is. At the moment if Alonso wins, Ferrari wins. If in the future Vettel is at Ferrari and he wins, then it will mean Ferrari wins. That is all that matters to me and the other tifosi.

Build a better car, and the wins at Ferrari will come. That's not just true at Ferrari. If you're saying that you need a top tier driver to win, then you've forgotten the 2009 season, where even Rubens Barrichello could have been the WDC. You can't blame Alonso for not winning at Ferrari, especially after his performance last year. I understand the passion of the tifosi, but at some point the passion has to be supported by some amount of logic. Otherwise it's just "crazy" not passion.

Vettel is getting the results he's getting because Red Bull have made a fantastic car. The jeering comes because Vettel is simply not an ingratiating guy on track, he's a win at all cost leave nothing on the table kind of guy who is not happy when he loses (which isn't often) rarely accepts faults in his own actions and is not happy when he wins unless he's won it all. Specifically the "fast lap" efforts and some of the radio comments is the reason I think he gets the jeering. To blame the fans is silly, if you're going to complain about disrespectful fan, start with the football brawlers and word your way down from there.

Perhaps if Vettel had more supporters, he'd get more cheers during the ceremonies?

I'd say 8. Not much action on track but a Vettel win clearly annoying the Tifosi makes up for it. :hehe:

Sorry to disappoint you; but, Vettel doesn't annoy me!
He's amusing to watch and listen to! And, If I'm being
totally honest, he has a boyish charm that's cute!!
