Apparently Mercedes will be bringing their final major batch of upgrades for the Singapore GP and then pretty much focusing all efforts on 2014.

I do not think any driver or team has really chucked in the towel irrespective of what they claim. This is F1 racing and not the kind that anyone would give-up until the fat lady has actually sung.

If I recall correctly, Raikkonen was a present system equivalent of 43 points behind Hamilton in 2007 with 2 races left.
