I don't hate the Germans but a lot of less intelligent people do. I work with someone who refers to Vettel as a Nazi or Kraut. Nice guy though, just our F1 views differ.

I'm not sure what's been edited here, but my take on editing is thus

You can selectively quote another persons post..ie select the part you want to respond to and quote it. You then add your comment or reply. You have to bare in mind here that selective quoting may change the meaning of the original posters words. But it does save posting a huge piece of text if you just want to reply to part of it.

What is against forum etiquette, is quoting and then CHANGING, a post that someone else has written.
