I think your a little harsh on Hamilton, on his twitter feed, post Qualy he wrote:

"I apologise to the team and the fans today, i'll be pushing like hell to get a decent finish tomorrow"

Seems reasonable to me? He was maybe upset by Sutils antics?

Montezemelo is furious, is this the day that effectively ends Massa's Ferrari career?

My respect for Massa just increased quite a bit today. What a ballsy move, in front of the Italian crowd at home, without a contract next year, he gives the finger to the puppet masters at Ferrari and drives away from the No.1, outqualifying him. Well done Sir, well done. You can now retire with more self dignity than Barrichello at least.

When a TEAM plans its strategy to give the driver with the MATHEMATICAL possibility of getting closer to the leader, anyone who veers from that road is NOT a team player. Especially since there is every reason to believe that any plan would have been discussed with all parties present.

Ferrari's philosophy is NOT new to Massa and if he did this "intentionally" there will be the  to pay for!!

You know, I really don't care that Massa's future is on the line, he should have thought of that sooner (like 2 contract extensions ago) to find that little bit extra!! All he did today was to embarrass Ferrari!!

And, before we all get all "oh-we'd-never-do-that" remember the times that team orders were disguised as "hold station" and "multi-12"!!

p.s. Thought I'd do a quick calculation: even if Massa were to win every single race left on the calendar, all Vettel would have to do is finish fifth at each of those races to beat Massa by 10 points!! What was he thinking... Or was he?? :banghead:

There's no chance the strategy wasn't discussed beforehand.

Correct. Felipe knew this from day one at Ferrari. The time for him to fight and get the backing from the team was the start of the year. Everyone knows I'm a big supporter of Felipe, but I have to question where was this pluck and fight from him when it was needed at the start of the year?

Correct. The team has shown him massive loyalty especially when you consider his results.

You guys are putting a dog to sleep, and have talked about putting the dog to sleep for some time, but the day comes to take it to the vet, the dog is up and about and chippy.

Coming from a lont-time devout Felipe supporter, even I am questioning where was this "chippy" form at the start of the season.

OMG, I thought Hamilton was going to burst into tears, after Q2. Damn he acts like a little child who doesn't get his own way.

Are you a Vettel fan by any chance?

No, Paul di Resta I like to follow and shout for.

I do like the Red Bull Team.

I Use to like Hamilton, but sorry I can't be doing with his childish attitude. Just get on with it and stop ya moaning and sulking. Today is a classic sulk. Well at least he's back with his on and off girl NS.

Kezz

Can't you tell the difference between someone who is upset and angry with himself and someone who has 'not got their own way?' He was pissed with himself for not maintaining his own high standards and letting the team down. Nothing to do with not getting his own way.

That is the point I'm making, to a degree. As DC, GA and EJ pointed out, he wears his heart on his sleeve, which he shouldn't really do, and is somewhat unnecessary.

This should be behind closed doors, and when talking to TV, a 'grown man' would be positive, and look forward to the fight 2morrow. (today)

And as for Sutil getting a penalty. Well!

Kezz, It's going to be a gudun today. Beers at the ready :drink:

Lewis is who he is. Yes he wears his heart on his sleeve. He feels a responsibility to perform well not only for himself, but his team and his fans. And is distraught when he makes an error. He doesn't plan to be like that, it's how he is, it's what makes him Lewis Hamilton. I'm sure it's more of a burden to him than a help. If he didn't give a monkeys life would be a lot easier for him, but he does.
Sutil penalty deserved.

And thats why i respect Hamilton - no politics (apart from his comment at Monaco 11), just says it as it is. Today he was poor, and screwed up his session. Doesnt look for excuses and finds the real problem which on this occasion was his driving. Im sure the team would respect that more than "the car wasnt good enough" which he could have said.

The team do respect it. This is what Mercedes tweeted.

Perhaps a grown man would have called Sutil a cucumber and blamed him. Or maybe a really mature grown man should have blamed his team and sparked rumours of fistfights in the garage like Di Resta did.

I guess he forgot to read the instruction manual about how to behave to impress kezz on day #3445

Ted Kravitz just reported on Sky that RedBull have had to change certain gears (and I think some seals) on both their cars gearboxes, but have been given permission by the FiA and will have no penalty.

:yikes:

He also said RBR are off to Barcelona with Pirelli this week to do a 1000km test with a 2011 car and Daniel Ricciardo........

And now Button has fuel system issues, and his car is in bits in the garage. They have to make it to the pit lane in 30mins. This is a change they would usually do over a whole night according to Sam M.

This is where the engineers show their worth.......
