Snugs, Did you really expect everyone would suddenly go "oh, yeah, he's got a point really"? because if that was the response I was looking for I would have phrased my post very differently. Your youth wouldn't be an issue if only you grew up a bit...

p.s. get your facts straight...
Fastest F1 lap at Malaysia: 1:33.074 M Schumacher, Ferrari, qualifying
Kimi's fastest lap this year: 1:34.188 in Qualifying 2

It's not a matter of one's age if they act it. Furthermore, I was making a comment on my own age group. Don't get the idea that I'm looking down on you because I fall into an older generation - I'm only two years older than yourself, and only just at that. I find it ridiculous that I cannot respect more than half of what my own age group do and say.

Whenever someone makes this kind of post, I pick them up on it. I'm not biased at all. If you give your opinion in a respectful manner, I will, of course, respect it. But if not, then I find it hard to. I don't doubt that you're perfectly capable of writing out your opinion in a way that won't cause trouble between the two stables (and it is only two stables - you don't find the Honda and Toyota fans arguing like Ferrari and McLaren fans do), but you have elected not to do so. What you have done is thrown up a post that would, without a doubt, cause a fan as dedicated to McLaren or Hamilton as you are to Ferrari and/or Raikkonen to become annoyed. And I'm somewhat sick of the way some people act about this rivalry. I don't mind friendly jesting, but there is a distinct lack of that between the red and silver mobs...

Now, your comments on the Honda. Yeah, it doesn't have the pace, but I didn't start following the team because of the hope they'd be winning. I follow Honda because I like to see teams develop and move towards the front which is what they are capable of doing with their new technical team, and they have two good drivers to deliver the results. And now, your comment on Barrichello. Do you know why Barrichello never won a championship? It wasn't because he could not do it - he's perfectly capable. He didn't win a championship because your team wouldn't let him ;)

Finally, qualifying laps do not count towards the lap record. If you do want to count that, then Schumacher completely obliterated it with a 1:33.074 in 2004. Kimi is good, but it's not fair to say that he is the best driver. Especially not in the way that you have.

Snugs, I get my stats from Forix (http://www.forix.com), which has a complete inventory of all the official statistics from every Championship GP from 1950. You are making a fool of yourself.

I don't believe my opinion is better at all. An opinion is an opinion. What I do believe is better is the way that I express my opinion. I don't try to force it upon people and I don't state it in a matter that is going to provoke a: "No wai this driver is betterz lol" or something similar. But the way that you started this topic was bound to do that, and so I made that clear. Now, I remember you from the time when you were doing this exact same thing with Jenson Button as your idol and you managed to cause a great number of heated discussions which I was unfortunate enough to read, so you'll have to excuse me if I'm a little apprehensive.

I agree with you there it is a constant battle, that does get ridiculous, and i'm sorry i took this type of, anger out on you, but from my previous acount, certain members, such as Bud, like to take it to you, i have learnt in this forum, you get angry, and fight fire with fire, and thats what i have learnt, following the comment about honda, i'm a major JB Fan and have met him on numerous occassions, great man, and a good laugh never the less,a champion? for sure,Ross Brawn an amazing man, who made Ferrari the team they have evolved into, i believe with him it will boost your team,4th In Practice,Kool stuff ;)
with the Lap record, over the years cars have been slowed down,TC has been took off, if you put Kimi in the same Ferrari? Such as the F2004 he will reign, and get that lap record! for certain members,i will go to facts and figures, as i have even bought, downloaded old and i mean old F1 just ot learn more, such as the 6 wheel stages, and the dark stages of F1.So i do know quit abit about the sport :)

I see what you mean!!! to many people jump ships! and i find it quit annoying? the brits are the worst!! i have a dream team, and i have drivers i rate highly, but i have always dreamed that Kimi would go ferrari!!! i have loved the team since i was a little! at 6 when i watched Silverstone, and watched Michael Race round, and the style of the car, after that, i followed him ,not knowing that he was the best driver of all time? and it wasn't till i was 7 i got the grasp of the sport, then i followed shumi till 2002 :) then it was on with Kimi :)
Most people swap there support every year :?

It's kind of a two-edged sword. I think British F1 fans are less committed to their particular driver(s) or team(s) because they're more interested in the race as a whole. I remember the tale of a middle-aged German fan bodily carrying his son away from the grandstand soon after the start of one race because Schumacher had retired on the first lap. You pays your money and you takes your choice, but I've always thought that F1 is not a sport that lends itself well to supporting one single participant, as it makes it rather uninteresting if your pick leaves the race early.

Ya see, my freind supported Kimi, After Melbourne he supported Lewis? and he looks like an idiot....i stick o Kimi, threw the bad, or good, at the end of the day he's a Great driver, and i just look at, In Melbourne he had a fantastic race from the beginning untill he lost fuel, and could of came 2nd, but hey ho, everything happens for a reason!
