I don't know, in my experience of seeing couples who go on and off repeatedly, in the end they end up getting hitched. At least 2 couples I know did, 1 got hitched for 2 years and then said byebye.

I read somewhere that Lewis doesn't wear his Mercedes hat much because he doesn't like the Merercedes team wear and he wants to get involved with designing some new stuff.
I must admit he has a point. I'm happy with the cap, it's just says I support Lewis and Mercedes. But at Silverstone I had money to spend and wanted a Mercedes hoodie...NOTHING. Also wanted a nice Mercedes/ Lewis Vest top ...NOTHING.
Madness, at Silverstone with Lewis in the team and hardly any decent gear. I did find a long ladies T shirt in the end that can be worn as a dress, well it can on short arse me That was quite nice, but it was only Merc, not Lewis.

Come on Lewis! Sort them out!! I think I'd like your designs a lot better!

My point exactly!! I've watched a couple of friends who were in on/off, on again/off again
relationships who thought the answer was getting married/living together.

Unfortunately, for them, that proximity ended up being the "kiss of death"!! Hence my comment.
Of course, that's a personal opinion, I'm sure that there have been couples for whom that worked,
I just don't know any!

As if urban culture has not been driving a large segment of fashion for a decade,like baseball caps, trainers, baggy sportswear has not come out of urban street culture

Like Mercedes did not take Lewis partly to bring the Merc image to a new audience and younger appeal

Might appeal to Lewis and his homeboy inspired themes he has going on but not sure that will appeal to your average Merc owner .

Personally i think the whole hip hop culture lacks any real substance or style. Mercedes-Benz is way above that crap!

Maybe not in south pacific islands but nearer the center of the action, the hiphop genre pretty much outsells the the rest combined and it's not poor black kids doing all that buying

Nope, it's the car buyers of tomorrow, exactly the crowd Merc are after as it tries to change its appeal beyond its traditional older executive market. Merc themselves have said this

But maybe they need to try harder in the more rural, cutoff and inbred parts of the world

Mercedes don't want to come over as stuffed suits. I like the more relaxed styles. Hoodies , T shirts, caps are on sale on all the race team stands. Merc just needs to get ahead of the game and inject a bit of new blood into the same old, same old. It wouldn't be too difficult to come up something brilliant. And I think that's what Lewis wants to have a go at.

The don't need to appeal to the average Merc owner, they have them hooked already on the quality of the car. This stuff is for F1 enthusiasts and future markets.
