"We could be in for nine amazing races. Hamilton, if not the very best, is certainly one of the three best drivers in F1 right now, but Mclaren never gave him a car and/or the support he needed to challenge vettel these last three years Who would ever have imagined Mercedes would do so quite so soon?"

And that..the highlighted bit... Is the part that is so hard to swallow. McLaren squandered the talent they had in Lewis Hamilton. Ok not giving him the car.... these things happen, but not giving him the support?? Why? Because they pandered to mediocrity. It's hard to get over that, hard to understand it. Hard to accept it. Well McLaren's loss is Hamilton and Mercedes gain, and it's looking juicy to me!!

Another interview with Brawn. Most of their resources are on next years car and Brawn is very happy with its development. What happens from here on with the 2013 car will be a race by race decision.

Thats the whole McLaren conundrum in a nutshell. Its what true McLaren fans pointed out for years, only to be called conspiracy theorists and shouted down by 'loyal McLaren fans' who blindly insist there is nothing wrong at McLaren.

We need to thank McLaren for the Spa affair, as it finally pushed Lewis into confronting what his followers knew - Any team that can end up giving a driver who gets lapped by his team mate and has no chance of challenging for titles, a wing that is 1 second a lap faster than the one they give their star driver who is in the hunt for a title, that team will never win anything and can never go forward

As they do not have a clue.
Who would ever have imagined Mercedes would do so quite so soon

Not hard to imagine, its just called 'ambition and efficiency' not 'politicking and disturbingly casting couch mediocre driver'
Imagine Merc giving Rosberg a car 1 second faster? or Red Bull giving Webber the better wing? or Ferrari giving Alonso a gearbox with broken seals? And here is the kicker, imagine those teams doing so not when there was only 1 wing available, but when both drivers could have the faster wing?

Either incompetence of the highest order that they cannot work out which wing is 1 sec faster, or that there is a lack of control and order of elements of the team by management.

Either way a team like that will go backwards, lose star drivers and engineers, drop to the back of the grid. But at least the chosen lead driver will be in a comfort zone. and the loser fans can blame the car for all the problems

This was my favourite part:

Q: Could you imagine growing your roses again in Maranello?
RB: Ha, I never grew roses in Maranello - and I certainly will never try it again.

Speculations going on that when Brawn leaves his current position, he's going to go back to Ferrari to turn things around....no f**king way!!!!!!!

Hope Mercedes moves Brawn away when Brawn wants to be moved away, he's the best team boss in the paddock as far as I'm concerned.

Hughes thinks mercedes were running very conservative engines in practise. The time was lost on the long straights and both cars were heard changing down before the end of the uphill bit after eau rouge( I think there) . Preserving engines.
Lewis also had some braking issues, but Hughes expects them on the pace tomorrow.

The question is then why they feel the need to preserve engines... Rosberg lost one in Hungary.

Hughes said they have a lot of careful juggling to do with engine mileage if they are to avoid engine penalties over the rest of the year.

Actually they have already gone through 5 engines. With 3 fresh ones remaining for the 2nd half of the season, and everyone uses a new one at Monza.

Apparently Rosberg was using his race engine during practice yesterday which is why he didn't do many laptimes and took it easy. Lewis did the mileage with his practice engine.

How many half used engines have they got left?

When interviewed about Lewis' pole and reminded that it was now four in a row....

ROSS BRAWN : (paraphrased) Oh is it? laughs Lewis is settling into the team now, his side of the garage is really starting to gel, as I've said before, there's more to come from Lewis, we're not there yet. He's a pleasure to work with.

What a refreshing change from. "Lets talk about (insert team mates name)"
