Almost, they need to change it back to the old configuration.

If every race there was like 2012 one,I would actually be quite sad it was gone!But remembering the others,I can't say I'm sorry at all.Barcelona isn't that bad indeed.Now I remembered Jerez had been removed but I didn't know why so I looked up and :

I wasn't watching F1 right then,so I don't really now how the track is but it could be another option perhaps?

I think Barcelona is an incredibly important race as the first European Grand Prix. It is a aero track, and it's good to see which team has developed the best package.

I personally love Barcelona; probably one of my top 3 circuits. Not every track has to be an overtaking, wheel-banging frenzy. Barcelona is purely unique in being a fast, sweeping track. It has character.

I agree it has its own character, or rather had character with those last two corners which were high speed and looked awesome. Unfortunately, they butchered the last 2 corners for God knows what reason (I think it was for "overtaking" but it accomplished f**k all) and the one good thing the track had, which was a continuous high speed flow is now gone.

Meh, It was not that good of a circuit, but better there than somewhere like India

I just think the event there is a complete anti-climax, every single year. It's the big crowds that save its arse.

I don't think that Valencia could hold a GP physically anymore, from a article linked from this forum some time ago, the track and pit complex has fallen into disrepair since it last held a GP!

Yes, I recall reading that elsewhere quite a while ago.

Now if only they'd drop Monte carlo, Austin, Singapore and Silverstone, turn Istanbul Park into real-estate and bring back Imola Estoril, Magny Cours and the original Hockenheim we may end up with a pretty decent calander.

Silverstone? One of the most attended races of the year, where drivers enjoy it and can overtake aswell as being the home race for 8/11 teams?

It would be one of the last I'd get rid of.

Monaco isnt a great track but I like it because its different. Austin is a great track and Singapore is cool as it's a night race!

First time I have ever heard anybody suggest that Magny Cours was a good place for an F1 race. Well Schumie maybe.

Already 2 events in Spain, one in Austria would probably generate more attention. Wonder what attendance is like at both Spanish events the past few years with the crisis Spain is enduring. Sure it is good for their tourism but more money is in Austria and Bernie likes money.

And Austria has such a beautiful circuit! Money aside, that tranquil alpine setting is gorgeous!
