So, Ferrari just butchered the field. Comfortable drive for Raikkonen, and really impressive from both Kubica and Trulli, congratulations to them. Lewis was unlucky with the botched pit stop, but there are always going to be mistakes from the team over 18 races and it's only cost him 2 points. Good to see Heikki on the podium as well. I'm sure Ferrari will take their dominance into Bahrain. However, some of the European circuits will be a different story. Maybe BMW can even get a win. Would be great for the Big 2's dominance to be broken a bit. Bring on Bahrain!

Suprised Massa made the error (I persume it was a driver error?), Raikkonen drove a perfect race, as he often does. Was good to see the BMW come 2nd, I fully expect them to go one better at some point this season.Truli was also impressive and stepped up at the end to finish ahead of Hamilton. Very happy to see Heikki finish 3rd from his 8th on the grid, just s shame ITV didn't show him in the press room, I guess Steve Rider just wanted to use the time talking about Hamilton.

Lewis had bad luck with the problem in his pit stop but still drove a solid race from his 9th position start.

That was a pretty crap race, the exact opposite of last weekend both action and results wise. Rosberg could have done so much more if Glock hadn't sabotaged his race. Trulli was rather lucky to finish 4th considering he made a mess-up of his start as usual combined with Hamilton and Heidfeld's cruel luck. Really surprised by the amount of mistakes Massa's making, he's going to need to sharpen up. Hope Bahrain is much better in terms of just about everything, and hopefully Lewis and the Williams cars will go much better there.

Massa once again snatches defeat from the jaws of victory. He should have at least got a podium out of that race and yet another driver error from him. I think he over steered and tried to correct but it was too late. If he keeps this up then Ferrari may end his contract early and he will find himself at a mid pack team.

looked like brake failure ( apuff of black smoke as he spun came from brakes)

That was my impression too.

Overall a dull, dull race.

Dull, but intriguing all the same. Bahrain will be terrible though, what an awful circuit. One of the awful '9 lives circuits' that Tilke and F1 love nowadays.

i saw that puff aswell, but if it is driver error thats 2 races in a row, pressure will be building on Massa with drivers waiting in the wings to take his ride

Yeah, Massa dropped it i think, he wouldn't have been on the brakes at the point he went off. No reason for him to stay for too long now that Jean Todt has moved away from the paddock.

Aye he'll be out at the end of the year.

Well apparently massa hit the kerb on turn 6, which they think might have damaged somthing, causing the spin.
He was pretty unlucky to, could of at least landed on the grass and drove. Sepang, really not Massa's track

As for 09, I hope it really makes a difference with the quality of racing. But will it really work. Heck they claimed that this year the racing would be far closer, but for years and years the FIA have said that with ever change they have made. Most of us already knew it was always the dirty air effect... so why didn't they implement changes earlier when it first became apparent, even a few years ago over taking was still far more possible than it is now, even with TC.... but they stuttered and let the cars become so glued to the ground etc that another Melbourne may be very rare this year...

what actually are the new rules? i know they were talking about a split rear wing at 1 point

I think basically, tyre blankets are banned, erm SLICKS are back :D

They have tht KERS, energy recovery implemented

on the Aero side, i think its just the f1 cars like thye are atm, but with no stupid winglets, chimney's, front wing endlplates, all the things tht create tht negative drag..

Hopefully pre 01 style... only cars will be alot safer etc
