A rule change needs to be done about cars crawling around in Q3. Theissen and Heidfeld said he was on pace for P3 but because of cars crawling on their in-laps, Heidfeld was forced to drive off the line and missed his braking point. But it was awsome seeing the onboard shoot of Heidfeld coming out of turn 3 and weaving in and out at full speed avoiding a few cars.

I agree with you. They should all be sent to the back of the grid :P

If that means Rosberg starts higher than 16th then I'm game. Then Hamilton will also be able to easily prove last week's win was no fluke and he can carve his way through the field. :)

Just checked the ITV website, and both Hamilton and Kovalainen have received five-place penalties for blocking. Though I'm pretty sure there were more than those two involved... Won't move Nico up, though. Anyway, the new grid looks like this:

Massa
Raikkonen
Trulli <- Never thought I'd see that this year
Kubica
Heidfeld
Webber
Alonso
Kovalainen
Hamilton
Glock
Button
Coulthard
Piquet
Barrichello
Vettel
Rosberg
Fisichella
Bourdais
Sato
Sutil
Davidson
Nakajima

Should be an interesting race, especially with a Toyota, Red Bull and Renault, as well as both BMWs, starting in front of the McLarens.

I live for McLaren, especially with their Kiwi history. However, I have a soft spot for Toyota, and the McLaren penalty may actually give Trulli a chance at a podium, or a win! Can't wait for the race!

Great qualifying from the lead FIAts. Dont think Kimi looked too happy at the press conference though. Makes me wonder how he would cope with the pressure of having to fight for number 1 status in the team rather than having it by right. This could apply to Hamilton as well but I think he proved his point last year.
Mac lads docked 5 places? I agree that what happened looked very dangerous, but I saw other teams on fuel saving in laps and no docked places for them. Looks like McLaren are being punished for fuel saving due to the time they were on the track (at the end of Q3) while teams who finished earlier have got away with it. More fun and games for Uncle Ron and Bernie?

Personally I just think they're too dull, unambitious, think money will bring everything, don't have a true racing pedigree like Ferrari, BMW and Renault to an extent, can't make decent paintjobs, only good in qualifying, getting their arses kicked by an engine customer. I'd rather have one of the old weedy teams from the 80's in their place.

Can you for once not be an FIA conspirator?
Read why McLaren got docked 5 grid spots and then think before you post rubbish
HK and LH where crawling in the racing line, thus impeding other drivers on their hot laps. Other drivers drove slowly OFF-LINE!

Yes, unless Bernie starts getting less greedy and uptight on how many teams can enter and all those little things we'd love to see return to F1. If Williams beat Toyota again this year I hope they sell off the works team to someone like EJ or Stoddy and just concentrate on getting to the top of the pile through the Williams team.

Alonso described it as "an unlucky situation". Hiedfeld, when asked if he agreed with the stewards decision stated "yes of course, I gain 2 positions, it is better than 7th". Hmmmmm. Are we really to believe that Mclaren got on the radio and asked Hamilton and Kovi to block a BMW and a Renault? Is that what you think happened?
By the way, I believe I can post what I want, as you so graciously showed me you dont have to read anything I post, remember?
As for conspiracy theories, as Bernie once said "F1? It's a Ferrari invitational". The rest of the teams have to live with that or, as I believe will happen soon based on a bit of insider gossip, a new championship will be formed based largely on USA/UK teams.

Another perfect example of the McLaren lambs not being able to remotely contemplate that their team CAN - HAS or WILL possibly do ANYTHING wrong.

The old IT'S their fault syndrome strikes again

Should be a great race especially if it rains, then anyone could have a chance.

I disagree, dont think I've ever said MacLaren are blameless or omnipotent. I am saying that if they were wrong, and by the way I think that it was dangerous as all feul saving in laps could be, it was not a deliberate attempt to block Renault and BMW. Why would it be? Are you saying Alonso has a real chance in this years Renault? And that Maclaren are so far behind the pack that they need to resort to this? Somehow I dont think so eh?
I believe that Maclarens refusal to appeal was based on having a heavy fuel load for this race and not an admission of blocking. Again, I think the lead FIAts did a great job in qualifying. Lets see how the race pans out, should be a stormer. Any news on rain?

Yeh we know bozo there is only one team that resorts to things like that

Well I agree with you that it will be a great race & I to think the McLarens are fueled up for the race.
