Seems a fair assessment all round except Massa. He's done better than to deserve a measly 4 out of 10! He's pushing Alonso a lot more than he has done in the past. Granted the results don't really show that but if you look at lap times it tells a different story.

Well you would say that. Your opinion of Hamilton has been stated frequently, so I'd expect you to agree with his assessment of the top four drivers. But most pundits disagree.

Sorry but thats very harsh on Massa. Hes worth of at least a 6. This guy claims he crashed frequently at Monaco. Errrr, no he crashed twice and one was found to be a suspension faliure (race crash) - also the Germany "spin" was clearly not Massa's fault. They said on Sky that something had to have failed, likely to be suspension or some hydraulic/gearbox fault.

Other than that I agree, although Hamilton should be 9/10 - he hasnt made many errors this season and if it wasnt for the tyre blowout at Silverstone, he would have dominated 2 of the last 3 races!

Has anyone else read the half term report by Hugh Podmore on drivers? On the news section of this site.
http://www.forumula1.com/news/half-term-report-2013/
He scores Vettel, Raikonen and Alonso nine out of ten and Hamilton eight out of ten. I find that completely inexplicable. I left a comment yesterday but it hasn't appeared yet.

That's because no one reads it. :hehe:

This Podmore chap has form for some of the lamest F1 articles I have ever seen

To be fair he seems to be the only contributer to the news articles. maybe a bit of heatlthy competition would improve the standard?

I do find it a bit odd that this Huge Podmore chap isn't active in the forum, or rather there's no one under the name of Huge Podmore active on the forum.

Why bring him into this conversation about Massa and assume that he agrees with the top 4?

Poor Massa, I think he won't survive this year. Porsche has openings though, I'm sure they'll be looking for as many as 12 drivers.

This is going to sound totally harsh and out of line for a Tifosa; BUT, I don't think Massa ever "came back" after his accident! :(

Agree. But I dont feel this has anything to do with the accident, and more to to with the 'team mater upgrade' upon his return.

Really? Personally, I can't imagine how anyone comes back from that sort of horrific experience unscathed!!
There have been the odd comments from him about getting help, etc; but, the proof is in the pudding.

As for Ferrari, they've been very supportive and very patient where Massa is concerned, so I don't believe he's
being treated unfairly!!

Ok, maybe I misworded it: I dont think its ALL to do with the accident, and but a big factor is to do with the 'team mate upgrade' upon his return.

No, I dont think he is being treated unfairly at all. I just think Alonso is a much better driver now, than Kimi was at the time he was Massa' team mate.
