Ok then got my facts a little crossed over there but my point stands, if not made more clear now.

Button and Vettel both passed Hamilton and Webber respectively (Not at the same time, that would be amazing to have some actual racing in F1 sometimes) when both Hammy and Webby had been told that they wouldn't be passed and turned down their engines.

So why is what Button did wrong and what Vettel did right?

both did wrong, but Sebs wrong was from a sense of entitlement whereas Buttons wrong was from an instinct to sneakily take something he was not entitled to

Having said that, I will admit that I might have some slight bias here :hehe:

In my book, neither did wrong. They were racing and saw an opportunity and took it, as one is meant to do in a racing situation. It doesn't matter if you're faster or slower than the guy in front, if you can pass you pass or there is no point in taking up a race seat. If a slower driver gets past it's up to the faster driver to retake the position.

So you ignore a team order, turn your engine up, overtake a team mate, take him out then blow your engine up. You take the team from a one two point sorting position to a big fat zero, and all because you're ego is too big and you think you know better than the team boss. I'm all for going head o head with a team mate, bring it on!!! Right up to the point the boss says turn your engines down , protect the points, or cool your brakes or what er else they can see that the drivers can't.

Agree RC

and its even more idiotic and disrespectful when the driver doing that is the slower one in the first place

As I said, it's a race not a Gentlemans club. I think this is just your frequently stated hatred for Button and unwavering love for Hamilton showing through.

I agree that we all want to see some decent racing. HEAR THAT BERNIE!!! RACING!!! And that team orders are bad, but when your given them, regardless of if faster, should be followed.

So should Nico have passed He Who Is Too Great To Name rather than sit behind him?

Yes. Right up to the point they were told to turn engines down and hold station

He tried several times and couldnt, and was smart enough to realise that the chances were, if he did it after both were told to hold position, then Lewis would have turned his engine up and raced with the same intensity he had used earlier to maintain his lead

Possibly causing flameout before the end of the race.

Therefore Nico was smart enough to maintain position (for his own good as well as for his team), and thats why he is not a cheating snake

Agree with this, both were wrong, the only difference is that Hamilton repassed and Button then gave up, as Hamilton won the race nothing was said (something was probably said in the post race briefing).

Vettel on the other hand profited by winning a race he didnt deserve to, and should actually thank Webber because if I was in Mark's position, I would have run Vettel off the road at the exit of T4.

So Nico was smart not to pass, Vettel was smart to pass and Button was stupid for passing? Three things happened, basically the same circumstances and you say it's fine for some but not for others? So does that make Vettel a cheating snake too?

Seriously your argument is as flimsy as a bridge made of apple peel.

You also said that Webber is not a team player because he doesn't follow orders, but Vettle is more of a team player because he doesn't follow team orders. Oh Andrew, you're full of bewildering contradictions and we love the consistency. :cloud9:

Nico was smart not to pass
Button was cowardly to risk fuel saving by trying to steal a win the only way he, the slower driver could beat the faster driver
Vettel was not smart (I never said that :nono: ) he was acting like a snake also, however he was claiming the place the faster racer of the pair would have without team orders

Its like Vettel and Button walk past a jewelry store, Vettel steals his own watch back that the store had bought off a burglar, and Button steals a watch he could never afford to own in the first place
Nico thought about it but decided it was wrong
