Admittedly not one of his better PR days :hehe:

But at least Lewis is not scared to drive an F1 car at its limit - which ties with the swagger and wannabe gangster image here

Some would say that "swagger and wannabe gangster image" ties in with an enlarged ego! Image

So which driver on the grid do you suggest is a down to earth, humble little puppy?

Did I say something that would suggest there was?

Starts complaining on the radio all the time which really irritates me...whatever happened in canada last year was disastrous...face it...the lads lost his support, especially from me...

Alonso, Seb, Kimi, Lewis can swagger and act like those at the top of their game

if Massa acted in an advert suggesting he was the leading gunslinger in town, we would laugh ourselves silly

Button just wearing a (Mclaren) racesuit in an advert is even worse

Not He Who Is Too Great To Name™ that's for sure. Bottas maybe, he's not a multi millionaire swanning it around Monaco, although he isn't the most marketable driver for ads in Finland, Kimi does that by just standing there and super imposing a slogan below him as per the sure ads. :hehe:

It's my new thing, and every time I mention his name I'll punish myself with a chilled Cider. Oh the horror :hehe:

Right...Bottas, a guy who I'm not even sure I'm pronouncing his name well. Let him achieve some success and then watch his comments/mannerisms shall we.

Who do you mean?

Or has F1 become the unmentionable in pursuit of lapping the unspeakable (apologies to Oscar Wilde)

He's talking about the only driver in F1 history to beat a 2X WDC in his rookie season.

Or put another way, the only driver in F1 history to win a grand prix in every season he's contested in the sport (so far).

Need more clues? :groucho:

So success has a direct link on how much of a plonker you look on ads does it?n I thought we were discussing how bad Jenson's moves were and that they were probably not his choice but McLaren and Santander do all this PR stuff which makes him look like an idiot on national TV ads.

So you expect Bottas to become an arrogant arse if he wins a WDC? Is that what happens to all successful drivers? Because by your logic it does.

Kimi's approachable as long as you're not a journalist or pap, he's apparently one of the friendliest guys on the grid (especially at the pub) away from cameras.

I'm sure their all approachable and friendly, they are people with friends and social lives etc. But it all depends on you, a man who's never really met or held a conversation with any of them, interpret people, and if you want to look at everything Button does as punching your mother in the face then so be it. Just make sure that when you say something about him and claim it's the worst thing since non-sliced bread, make sure that it's not something that He Who Is Too Great To Name™ can also be accused of, because you know; double standards and all that.

Kimi...you picked Kimi out of them all. :hehe::hehe::hehe:

We're definitely very different individuals, which is what makes it fun I guess.

Why oh why did you have to bring double standards into this. Jenson Button, the man that claimed that this was his team, with a car that he had input into, and that he'd lead going forward now that the mantle was passed onto him due to the exodus of the legacy. He's a WDC primarily because he was in the right team at the right time and was faster than Barrichello. No one will ever take that title away from him.

Don't know if you notice but some of us do point out the bonehead things Lewis, Lewis Hamilton, Hamilton, Lewis does. Thankfully he's no longer doing those many bonehead things on track, and we of course don't give a shiv about what bonehead things drivers do in their personal lives because, well it's personal. I look at a driver on the track only.

I think there's few people that would actually defend button, the psyche is more like preventing the Hamiltonians attack.
