I have just read the sad news:

He was killed when the Chrysler Voyager he was driving was involved in a head-on collision with a lorry on the A1 road, near Parma.

Great driver and sadly missed.

Serious bummer - I liked him. I met him in 1974 and will never forget his peering eyes and calm demeanor. I still have his autographed pic.

Wow! How did you meet him Darwin? Never watched him race, but sad news all the same.

He was on a promotional tour and stopped in my hometown back when I was living in Switzerland.

it has been a great funeral, over a thousend of people and drivers like fittipaldi, stewart, lauda and more...i'm under 100 km far from the place of the funeral, i would have really wanted to go there....
