Nikki Lauda, one of Benie Ecclestone's close confidants has said that New Jersey has already been take off the calendar for next year.

And now we have also heard that India could be off.

I'd vote for getting rid of India and Korea, and 'retaining' NJ.

We already have Austin...I don't see why we need NJ. Especially with Austria, Russia, and another I can't recall coming in next year...

I bet the atmosphere would be amazing at a street circuit in the middle of NJ though. I'd love to see it, even if it was just the once.

NJ will take place, because Tamara said so. She's already made dinner plans with Paris and Kim and she's not going to alter them.

Image Is it safe to assume that you've declined the invitation to join them?

This s*** with New Jersey is really stupid. I say just take it off the calendar and end it from here

Why is it stupid? Is the embarrassment of India stupid? Is Korea? Bahrain? It would be the highest attended GP in history, that's really stupid.

Temper, temper!

Though I must say I'd react the same way if someone said that about Sepang being taken off...... :hehe:

I'd love to see NJ at least once. Who knows about the actual race, but it would be awesome to introduce F1 to even more USers, and the back drop of Manhattan would be amazing. Maybe if the GP in Austin continues to attract excitement we could see the NJ race too. Hell, Spain had two GP last year, why can't the US?

That's not an arguement. Why not Britain? Why not France? Why not Germany? Why not Italy? They all have drivers and/ or teams competing and a huge history and support base for F1 .
I'm not saying NJ shouldn't get a race, but using the Spain argument doesn't wash.

The US buys more of the cars (and products) that F1 is selling. Our beloved "sport", it's a business boys and girls, don't forget that.

And, that's exactly what seems to be driving the FIA to introduce regulations to stop any one team (read Ferrari) from dominating the sport!!

Unfortunately, the FIA didn't take into consideration that they word those regulations in such a way as to prevent any team (read Red Bull) to find loopholes!
