Lewis Hamilton dropped the biggest hint yet that he's desperate to get his relationship with Nicole Scherzinger back on track – by dedicating his racing victory to his ex-girlfriend.

The Formula One hero was celebrating winning the Hungarian Grand Prix when he made the emotional tribute during an interview.

The 28-year-old made no effort to hide his pain after his five-year romance with the X Factor stunner drove into the pits.

Hiding his eyes with giant black sunglasses, his voice wobbles as the confident Mercedes driver can't find the strength to say Nicole's name.

Guy is in a world of pain and his life is upside down, and he spends his time playing his guitar and writing classic blues tracks about pinning for that mean ol woman who left him, took away his money and the mean old judge even gave her his Cadillac (ok I made the last bit up)

and is still able to drive the tyre chewer to victory ahead of the best car on the grid

Lewis Hamilton is God, discuss

I'd agree that he is a God if he turned up at Hungary with a blond haired busty bombshell he could've picked up at the Playboy party he visited few days back.
#367439
Nah, he'd already have done them, whats the point bringing them along, to prove what? He probably had the next two waiting at the hotel to em help him handle the pain of Nicole

and write more songs

If he wants Nicole back, its the quickest way to get her back...the old jealousy routine. Hey b*tch I've moved on, say what? Ring...ring....then a big fight ensues, fine, let's talk over dinner - make up umpalumpa, bang, back together.

True story.

What was particularly interesting was the way Lewis astounds guys who have seen and worked with the best. His fans, ofcourse already know what he is capable of, but amongst the pros, the smile on Brawns face was priceless. Not a mention of 'but lets talk about Nico' etc

Lauda who was his biggest detractor demonstrates the way cream rises and does its talking on track

"He won the race because he drove sensationally," Lauda told the Daily Mail.

"He was the best I've ever seen in my life - the way he passed people and the way he really got going.

"Generally we were not as quick as the Red Bull, but Lewis really made it all up especially the way he passed people."

The Austrian added: "He was outstanding."

And the emotional mixed up kid dedicated the win to Nicole :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

This frustrates me. I've seen a few people in different places mention Lauda's opinion of Hamilton in similar terms. Lauda has never been a detractor of Hamilton. Never. He has often commented on incidents throughout Hamilton's career, but has been positive when it has been warranted and negative when justified. He has never just made a critical comment or dropped a bombshell and left people scratching their heads, as he has always justified his comments and put them in context. In almost every interview / quote of Lauda's I have seen when he has been critical of Lewis, he has been critical of the move or incident initiated by Hamilton, whilst going to lengths to state that he believes that Hamilton is one of the best / fastest on the grid.

Lauda has always been constructively critical, especially when he has sensed that either Hamilton himself, or other drivers' safety has been an issue, and this is hardly surprising given Lauda's background, personal experience and era in which he raced, not to mention that he has been a tireless campaigner for improving safety in the sport over the years.

To contradict what I have seen others post though, and state with absolute certainty, he has never been needlessly negative, nor has he been a Hamilton detractor. I've double checked, and even just a quick google search of 'Lauda critical of Hamilton' will pull up half a dozen different articles on the first page alone, ALL of which demonstrate exactly what I'm saying here.

Wel I disagree on that. I think Lauda has been unfairly critical of Hamilton in the past and hypercritically so given his own stance on dangerous moves on competitors during far more dangerous racing era. I'm talking about the time he was defending Schumacher's dangerous moves by saying that during his era he would drive competitors off the road when out of site round the back of the track. And that it's all part of being a racing driver. Yet on Hamilton he said he was dangerous and would kill someone. A grossly unfair assessment of Hamiltons race raft even during his worst season .

I guess what we have to realize is that everyone has the right to their own opinion/perspective!
Also, it's important to realize that comments are made within a context and that taking them out
of that framework can lead to a misrepresentation of what the person intends.

After all, we're all guilty of saying one thing today, when we're peeved in a situation only to turn
around tomorrow, after we've calmed down and thought rationally, to change our mind!

We're only human, eh? :wavey:

It's the hypocrisy I particularly object to. Had Lewis not been driving for Mercedes, and had that stunning move to overtake Webber , that Lauda was applauding , gone wrong, and they touched. Would Lewis again be dangerous and libel to kill someone?
Overtaking is always risky and relies on some compliance from the one being overtaken, at least an awareness from them of etiquette and race craft. Lauda forgot all about that when criticising Lewis.

You know, it is really sad Lewis feels down like this, but if I will be honest and not cold, he could do way better than Nicole. To be honest, this was her fault if anything. Instead of travelling with Lewis, she is doing that overrated piece of s*** X Factor..... F1 > All, especially that pile of nothing...

Ah its okay, we got Big Mouth on our side now...so all's good. I think Mercedes have recognized (collectively, not just Brawn) that Lewis has shown he's the pointy edge of the Mercedes sword to take the fight to Redbull. They weren't sure or positive about him up till recently...since it was Nico who got the two wins and not Lewis.

Well put RC

That more than anything else defines detractor. To laud MS for for driving others of the road, and to condemn another for the same (not even true compared to MS wrt intent) is to detract from one. Nothing to do with objective criticism, and more to do with a subjective negative appraisal - therefore a detractor in every sense

If he was consistent in his criticism across the drivers, then we could say he wasnt picking on Hamilton but just concerned about driver safety but he had an agenda and therefore this is just plain wrong
